Great notebook. The size is perfect.. The paper is high quality-fountain pen ink does not bleed through and does not ghost. Only negative: would appreciate more paper.

Have used these for 2 decades, great for meetings and fantastic paper quality. Cover and back are super protective.

I love these books, I have larger writing and the line spacing accommodates. There is no bleed through even with gel black pens! The cover is of great quality and the pages do not rip out easily! I will keep buying these for work!

I use it for class notes in college. I write with fountain pens, and don't get any bleeding even with the wettest pens. Very minimal ghosting too. Pros: - Paper quality is excellent!!! Works great with fountain pens. - Feels smooth/luxurious and a real pleasure to write on. - Heavy/thick paper (24 lb) really stands up to abuse. - Folds backward: opens completely to fit on the tiny little fold-out desks they have in lecture halls. - Hard cover: allows me to use it almost like a clipboard, leaning against the edge of the desk to get a better angled surface for more comfortable writing. Cons (mostly subjective): - Not enough pages! I burn through one of these every 3-4 weeks for my college notes. - Ruled lines are a bit too wide for me. More like wide-ruled than college-ruled. - Kind of heavy due to the hard cover. - Perforations are a bit difficult to tear out. If I could get one of these with a dot grid ruling and 2-3x the number pages, that would be just about my ideal perfect notebook ever, but ya can't always get what you want... In any case, this is definitely the best notebook I've used BY FAR.

I wanted a nice hardcover notebook for work. I wanted something sleek looking and stain resistant (thanks to this glossy cover). This fits the bill. It feels & looks like good quality. I'm not a paper pro, but the paper in this is nice and heavyish. Writes nice. The pages turn easily thanks to the big red binders. The glossy front & back don't seem to attract much for fingerprints. I do haaaate the "Black n Red' logo on the front. It looks so cheap & I'm using this in a professional setting. I knew this existed when I bought it and thought I could black it out with a magic marker, but that doesn't work, the marker doesn't stick and just wipes off. And there were a few random pages of 'inspirational' quotes in this - they are easy to tear out.. just annoying they were there. Overall though, I would buy again.

You will never want a different spiral. The hardback on this one allows you to write anywhere without the use of a desk or table. The double spirals in the edge keep the paper in tact. I’ve never had a sheet accidentally rip out. The paper is excellent quality. This spiral is very sturdy, unlike the flimsy ones at the department store. A little more expensive, but it will last… and looks very professional.

I first purchased the Black n' Red hardcover casebook notebook and instantly fell in love with the thick, smooth, matte-finish paper! However, the binding of this casebook version created issues for me and so I stumbled on this one. Opposite to the sewn in pages of the casebook, this spiral version allows you to rip out pages effortlessly (perforations included) and turn pages with ease. While the main feature of the notebook is the fantastic paper quality, other features include a hard front and back cover that easily folds backward and wide ruled lines. One possible downside - which I don't mind because I like thin notebooks but wanted to point out - is that each notebook only has 70 pages. High-quality paper notebooks are my weakness and have therefore tried many in the past so I can confidently say that you really won't regret purchasing this notebook!

I did a lot of research before buying this notebook. At one time I thought I needed a leather bound book to write all my to-do lists, drunken poems/diary entries and random thoughts. Turns out, I just need a sturdy lined book that LAYS FLAT. Who wants to hold the book open just to write? And leather is not incognito.. (you dumb hipsters) There are only pros on this review: 1) Hard cover on both sides. 2) Lies flat when open or even when flipped inside out. EXTREMELY easy to write on. 3) 22 lightly printed lines per page 4) Perforated pages!!! (In case you go too far in those diary entries or merely want to rip your grocery list out... potato/potato) 5) Very sturdy construction 6) Bright white pages 7) Pages are thick enough that liquid ink roller ball pens do not soak through 8) The price is right!

The Black n' Red Notebooks have such a professional finish with hardback cover and double spiral binding. The Optik white paper is great to use with any pen, including Frixion (erasable) and wet Fountain pens; allowing you to write on both sides of the paper with no bleed or show-through. This notebook looks great in a professional setting, and you'll get lots of comments asking what brand it is! As a bonus, it supports digitizing your notes with the Scribzee app, allowing anywhere-access to your notes, and it even supports real handwriting search. Far superior to the Rocketbook app, I now use Scribzee for backing up and searching all my notes!
