In The Eye of the Beholder
My husband wanted smaller, less bulky towels than ones I usually buy. He says my towels make it difficult to dry areas such as between toes and around ears. Utopia Cotton Barth and Gym Towels were just about the only ones I could find that fit his size request. When they arrived I thought they were pretty cheesy looking, and yes, they produced vast mounds of lint when washed and dried the first several times. I also had to clip stray pieces of thread from the seams. My husband thinks they are just perfect. I still prefer my larger, heavier towels, but find the Utopia towels are great for drying my hair. I'd say we're both quite satisfied with the towels. At the price I paid they don't have to last for years either.

BE ADVISED
Since some of the reviewers stated the towels produced quite a bit of lint, I decided to adjust the machine to rinse a second time. Results: Upon transferring the towels to the dryer, I discovered (and removed) several wads of cotton lint from the washer drum. Concerned, I checked the dryer lint screen 4X during the drying process. The lint screen was FULL of lint each time. Upon removing from the dryer, there were still wads of cotton lint/clumps of cotton thread left behind in the dryer, and on the towels themselves. Then took outside, and shook (briskly) off a significant amount more of the lint//chunks. I've been washing clothes for ....decades....and have never seen anything like it. My advice: If you have a long dryer vent, and your lint screen is at all sub-par, DO NOT load these towels in your dryer (potentially a fire hazard, due to the build-up flammable material in the vent). If you have a septic tank, DO NOT load these towels in your washing machine. This is speculation (not exaggeration) on my part, but I would estimate that I lost the equivalent of 1/2 of a wash towel down the drain (literally) in the form of lint/clumps of cotton. Septic tank owners, you know this is reason for concern. Be advised.

Good size, very thin
Good size, very thin, don't take up too much room in the linen closet and dry quickly in the dryer. Which was just what I wanted and couldn't seem to find in any stores. If you jump out of the shower, dry off, run the towel across the wet tiles and floor with your foot, then dunk the towel in the washer/clothes-hamper basketball style - all in under two minutes - these are the towels for you. I'll soon be ordering the wash-cloths. I see a few here have mentioned lint, and they're correct. This would be the only drawback to these towels. Just make sure you put them in with a load of other towels and not clothes. And, while I'm at it, always clean out the lint trap in your dryer - it will be loaded after every drying of these towels! Lest you set your house afire.

Soft and absorbent
I was specifically looking for a 48" towel, which was much harder than I thought. These are the perfect size for smaller uses. They are light weight, which I like. After the first wash, they became very soft and I found them to be just as absorbent as larger, thicker towels. These towels are great for drying hair, pets and cleaning up areas that require more than a hand towel. They are a good value. I wish they came in multiple colors. Note: Do not order if you are looking for a towel to wrap around your body. These are a little smaller than the average sized bath towel.

These towels were exactly what I was looking for to ...
These towels were exactly what I was looking for to use when I wash my hair. Regular bath towels were too big and too thick. However, a warning. One of the reviews I read mentioned how much lint these towels have. As a result, as soon as I got them I ran them through the washer and into the dryer. The lint filter in the dryer was packed with lint. I decided to run them through another cycle just to be safe, and there was very little lint and they were ready to go.

Convenient size and worth the price.
While these aren't hotel quality towels, they are a convenient size and they serve their intended purpose well. If you're not looking for, or wanting to pay for, a bulky, deluxe towel you'll find these convenient and affordable.I also won't need to cry if they happen to get lost at the pool. Haven't washed them yet so I can't comment on their post-wash condition, but I like that they're pure white and won't be discolored by chlorine bleach. I'm not anticipating any major problems.

Great Towel!
This is the second set of these towels I have ordered. Just the right size and very soft. Do you make a matching hand towel? Well, after two weeks and a few washing I am not quite as happy as I was at first. I need to keep thread and needle near by. Holes have developed in three of the towels. I need to weave the fabric together. Not the fault of the washing machine. I have a large front loader that is almost new.I do not overload the machine. Hoping this is just some kind of fluke and the problem will not be repeated.

Good hair towel
I bought these towels for wrapping around my head after showering, so I wanted something big enough but not too big, and not bulky. (Towels like this are IMPOSSIBLE to find in stores.) Size- and bulk-wise, they are just about perfect. They are somewhat crudely made (side seams a bit ragged, lots of trailing threads), and they are VERY linty, so definitely wash them before using them the first time. Overall, very good for my purposes.
