Best diaper bag, ever
The side opening and adjustable width compartments make it just as helpful for baby gear as it does camera gear. My brother used it for his diaper bag and raved about it. We first bought a cheaper travel backpack to avoid the pricey investment, but broke down to buy this one after 6 months of struggling with getting all the baby gear in and out of the bag easily. We took this back on a 2 week trip to visit family right after we got it and it was a miracle-worker. So easy to travel with!We put diapers in the bottom compartment, bottles in the middle, and toys in the top compartments where they would be most accessible on the plane without having to open the entire bag. The expansion top is really clutch for quick access and storing a swaddle, hoodie and any soft stuffies or larger toys. The tie down straps on the outside helped us carry a small park blanket and his travel baby wipes container. The water bottle/tripod pocket on both sides can hold a parent’s water bottle and baby’s water bottle. It’s soo comfortable on the back (unlike the BellRoy backpacks) and it has great adjustable straps for shorties like me and taller people. My one and only complaint is the lack of an inside or outside zipper pocket on the top flap of the bag. The older Everyday 20L Zip-Up pack has the inside pocket feature, it’s not exactly clear why they got rid of it on the extension pack. When the bag is full, expander is fully out, you desperately need that pocket. It drives me nuts that I can’t quickly shove a pacifier, or a straw, or small, tiny items like bandaids right in top for easy access. There’s a half pocket on the laptop bag slot, but it’s too narrow/compressed flat to fit a pacifier or bulkier small item. The side pockets on the side-opening flaps are too shallow/not tall enough. A lot of people have complained about this in blogs comparing the two models. Please add a zip pocket on the under side of the expansion flap and it will be the perfect bag!

Peak Design Awesome!
This peak design bag is an awesome day bag! I have used a top loading back pack for 20 years plus so it takes a minute or two to get used to the side loading bags.I find the material to be top notch. Quality of zippers and compartments are top tier as well. The origami design pockets provides a lot of versatility. If you fly on domestic flights, the bag fits comfortably in the seat in front of you.If there is any critique is that the laptop and iPad section are a bit tight. I have not found it to be an issue at all but a bit more slack would be nice.

Skeptical at first but it's a great bag.
I don't know if I've ever been complimented on a bag before but I took this along for a trip where I intended to take a lot of photos and video and I had several people ask me what it was and if I liked it. Really nice looking and solid construction. The side zipper pockets do make it easy to access your camera gear and the folding dividers are no gimmick - they're perfect. I was able to snugly fit my Sony a7III with the kit lens, a DJI Mavic Pro 2 & controller, a DJI Osmo Pocket, and various chargers with ease. When traveling I dropped my headphones and chargers in the top latch pocket and there was still some space left. I used one of the included straps to hold my Manfrotto tripod tight to the side of the bag, with the legs in the side pocket. This worked pretty well despite feeling a little unwieldy. A deeper side pocket and a built-in strap solution might have made it more comfortable. The magnetic straps are also no gimmick - they really helped keep the bag nice and tidy, especially when using the luggage passthrough. The magnetic side pockets also kept smaller items inside without me worrying about them falling out. I found the rotating straps to make the bag more comfortable to carry and the chest strap was useful while going on hikes. The top zipper pocket can fit your laptop, keys, phone, etc. but I really wish there were more space. Typically I travel with an older model Tortuga Air and I enjoy being able to throw all my chargers, wallet, keys, etc. in one pocket. That one also had a dedicated pocket for pens, a passport and various other items you'd want within reach. I had to divide these things into the top zipper pocket and the top latch pocket of the Peak Design bag, making it slightly less practical to use while traveling. I also really wish the zipper pocket zipped down the sides of the bag a little more. Even when the bag is empty it's really difficult to pull things out of the top. It gets worse when you actually have more stuff in there giving you less room (e.g. you're digging for your passport with your laptop eating up some of the space). It slowed me down a little when going through security at airports but it's manageable.Overall it's a perfect bag to hold your camera gear but could be a bit better with access and storage space for small items you need to keep organized.

Everday Backpack V2 Review
Arrived in perfect condition and it feels a lot more durable than expected. Photos and videos do not do this bag justice. It is the right fit for what I need with my photography and videography work. I have many products by Peak Design, and have yet to be disappointed.

Great Backpack for traveling
Really nice backpack for traveling although if you wanted to use it for photography the whole thing is padded. The only thing I would say is it’s a little bit heavy if it were a bit later that would be fantastic for traveling. But it fits nicely it looks great and it’s very functional I love the top pocket and the access from the sides.
