Cyrus ONE Cast - Smart Integrated Amplifier (UK Edition)

Originally laumched at £1299 these are a bargain at the £649 I paid. A quality hi-fi amp that will, if you're like me, changed your mind about how good class D amplification can be.The streaming feature is excellent though it can be frustrating to set up initially, do be warned.It looks great too, shoebox sized amps offer great flexibility especially if you are using IKEA Kallax as your Hifi cabinet. The phono stage on this amp is a real highlight, genuinely good and not just there because of the vinyl resurgence.One to consider if you're in the market for a streamer.

This is a brilliant product - a class D 100W per channel hifi amp, with all the capabilities of a modern voice controlled streaming device for your automated home. It switches on automatically when I stream music to it, or even when I switch my TV on, selects the right input, and starts playing. Simplicity in itself. I use mine with my Google Home setup, and my wife loves to play Pandora stations on the new system, instead on the tiny Google Home speaker. I added a Rega P3 turntable, which plugs straight in via the MM Phono Input on the ONE Cast, and it's been great fun to rediscover old vinyl, and listen to new and old records on the system. Hats off to Cyrus for a brilliant re-take on an old classic.

The whole point of this was so I could cast my music from my phone.It just stops for no reason.You can connect when it feels like it.If you’re listening to music then switch TV on to watch on silent it gets confused and then just cuts out.Seriously, do not bother.Manufactured in China.I bought this as I have an original Cyrus one , which sounded great.This amp sounds good too, but only when it actually works.Wish I’d never bought it.

The product is super simple to use - you can either Cast or Airplay practically anything to it, and everything sounds fantastic. It does it’s own firmware updates, so you literally don’t have to do anything if it’s connected to your network.Do wish it came with a dedicated app though, which would let you to tweak the sound signature to match the speakers though. It has a fairly neutral sound so it does well with speakers with neutral to somewhat warm sound.

- Poor Built for the high price.- Flimsy Atenna.- Hiss Noise through the speakers as soon as powered with no source.Best is to go Bluesound Node 2i + Cyrus One HD.Connect via Optical link to remove any possibility of interference.Ticks all boxes
