Nice Design. Easy to Install and Use
This unit is easy to use. However, if you have someone in the home who struggles with either visual impairment or hand dexterity and lacks the coordination to perform multiple step tasks with their hands, make sure to try and place the unit with the center screw and see if the person can release it and open the unit easily. If they are unable to easily open this unit with practice and in adequate light, you certainly don't want them struggling to open the door under emergency circumstances or while under pressure in poor light conditions. PIf the door you are going to place this on is a typical "Right Hand Door", this means when facing the door from the outside, the hinge is on the right hand side of the door and the door would swing into the building. Since this device installs on the interior door jamb, the device actually slides to the left to release and then pivots on the hinge to the right to swing out of the way of the door. Just make anyone who would need to open the door for safe exit or entry can operate this device. It's not complicated, but it can require the door to be pushed in slightly to release the pressure which might be against the device when properly installed. You certainly wouldn't want someone trapped inside and unable to open the door because they lack the eye hand function or coordination / dexterity to safely open the door.I bought two of these and installed one 14" down from the top of the door and the second one was positioned so the bottom is 14" from the floor. These two add a lot of holding power to the door and it adds to the lock and handle which should be holding the door already.I like the fact the unit is self contained and swings out of the way when the door is opened. Once the door is closed, you simply swing the unit over the door and slide it till it snaps towards the jamb. The design of the cam provides the snap movement which both secures the unit when its holding the door closed and when its pivoted out of the way when the door is open.I like the design and concept of these. Simple and one unit. I looked at others where you have to remove a piece for the unit to open and then store the piece until needed to lock the door again. While that unit does provide storage of the removed piece, this unit is all one piece and stays together. It's just a matter of swinging it into place to secure the door or swinging it onto the door jamb side to open the door.Personally, I would install these in pairs on any door as I did. Ideally, if you maintain the same distance between the door lock and handle and each of these units, one towards the top of the door and the other towards the bottom of the door, then this should provide help in securing the door.Simple and should be effective. Would this stop someone who was determined to get through the door? It should help deter them at a minimum. Having them is certainly better than not having them.........You might have to mortise the door jamb to recess the unit's plate so the door will clear. With the door closed and standing inside, see if the units install plate with the screw holes will slide between the door and jamb opening. Chances are that it will. If you can not get the unit between the jamb and door when the door is closed, you certainly will have to mortise the door jamb. This means cutting out enough of the wood to allow you to mount the unit flush with the door jamb. It's easiest to mortise the door jamb with a small wood chisel and a hammer. There are You Tube video's to show you how to cut a mortise into a door frame.Whether you have to mortise the jamb or mount the unit flush, make sure to position it so the door is flush shut with the unit against the inside of the door. Install the center temporary screw and see if you can release and secure the device and open and close the door. Once fitted in place, install the other screws and try the unit again. It's really that simple.

Well worth the cost!
Was very impressed by the quality of it when I first opened the package. The install id say is a 5 on a 1-10 scale if you have some know how. I didn’t use the template that was included because it was very odd lining up. What I did was place the handle in place, leveled the top of the handle, then marked with a pencil around the bottom where you would drill for the through bolt. Be sure to make sure it’s level and doesn’t move when make your mark and also would recommend you make sure your drill bit is completely centered with the mark you make. All in all, it looks fantastic and the install went well. The bronze definitely has a modern feel to it.*UPDATE* Product does not stay tight and will not stay level. I tried to tighten it the best I could so it wouldn't move every time someone opened the door but it eventually broke the mechanism inside and rendered it unuseful. When that occurred, it had been two days. I took off the bottom part until I could find time to replace it and finally just did however now I am out $60 because the return window has passed. Do yourself a favor and go to a Household Improvement store and spend some money.

Not bad, but not great
This is a great buy for the price. Like others have said, the quality seems a bit light, but overall it looks and works great. I wouldnt expect this to last more than a few years though.Install: I stalling was easy enough, however like others have said the bottom screw hole was about 1/2 inch higher than my original, it was easy to drill a new hole, and the square base covered up the old hole so you couldn't tell.Functionality: It seems to work fine, the only part that makes me nervous is the push button on the outside. others complained it broke, and when co.paring it to my original door handle I can tell there is a big difference in quality. It seems to have a potential to wear out and break over time. Also I have noticed to get it to work well you have to pull the door toward you as you push the button down, it seems like if there is any pressure from the door frame on the latch it doesn't like to open. Again, a great buy for the price but I dont see this as a 10 year door knob, more like 3 to 5 years.

Beautiful & durable!
Easy to install, beautiful finish, and smooth latch for open and closing. Only comes with two keys so be sure to make copies if needed for additional household members.

Trash after only 3 months.
Update: I gave it 5 stars in Feb '22. It has 1 star now and for good reason. We are in a coastal environment so we chose a 'powder coated' handle set. The salt in the air did the damage seen in pics in less than 3 months. We have many outdoor fixtures that are powder coated like light housings, etc., and they all look brand new.The finish is a disaster, the components all have 'play' in them and now we get to go to battle for our $140 and start over again. Because we're at the seashore, we see a lot of powder coated items outdoors. We've never seen anything like thisdamage it or any furniture or grills, etc. We're thrilled. We typically like contrast in finish to feature the door or the handle set but decided to experiment. So happy with the look and feel overall. It's heavy and sturdy. Sexy little feature for an affordable upgrade. This is a Hurricane door so you don't just replace it for fun, so new hardware it is. As others mentioned, an extra hole needed to be drilled and marking that was not easy (nor did we get it right the first try) but totally doable and our mistake hidden. Mechanisms are smooth and feel good in your hand. I don't know that you could beat this! Don't hesitate if you're on the fence.

Perfect
I am so happy with this front door handle. The are on the heavy side which is good and the picture of them on Amazon is exactly what they look like. I also got the coach lights which I am totally happy with.

Looks good, no problems so far
Had it a few months now and no problems. Looks great. Wish the key and lock felt more substantial but no problems with it. I read reviews with problems but it sounds like many were high traffic households. Perhaps I haven't had any problems because I do not have a ton of teenagers going in and out, using it roughly, but maybe I just got lucky. So far no problems. I had my door guys install it but they didn't complain so I assume it was reasonably easy to install.UPDATE: a year later and still good.

cheap quality mechanism and the handle edges are also too sharp and easily get injured.
The deadbolt mechanism is not smooth and all handle edges is too sharp and get injured easily, the quality is really not up to standard as this price point. It doesn’t like German standard.

Latch broke within 2 months.
The media could not be loaded. So at first we really liked this lock and handle. It looked nice, did the job, not too fussy to install. But now not even 2 months after being installed, the latch mechanism has shifted so far out if place that it licked me in the house. I had to call someone to pick up my son from school until my tradesman partner could get home to get the door open. We had to take the dead bolt off, and even now a locksmith can't get it to lock smoothly. Not fit for purpose!

Beautiful
It looks beautiful, but the thread on the bolt for installation provided was wrong and I have not been able to find the correct one. No response from the manufacturer, disappointing.
