VERABENDI Women's Plus Size Long Short Sleeve Dress Casual Loose Pocket T-Shirt Dress

Ok, I'm a short chubby chick, and it fit perfect!!!! Yay!! I'm 5'2, and wear a 2x. The length was perfect for me. And.... as an added bonus... it has pockets!!! Eekkkk!! But seriously, the pockets were placed in a great spot and didn't make my hips look any more ginormous than they already are. I think I'll order one in every color :)

I don't always like loose-fitting apparel like this, but I have been really impressed with the fit of this dress. The material is incredibly light weight and soft. It is perfect for wearing over leggings, though they wouldn't be necessary with the length. The sleeves come down and cover my wrists, and the material doesn't hug too much. I am a fan of anything with pockets, so I was happy to see that these didn't add too much bulk in the hip line, as they sometimes do depending on the cut. I was such a fan of this dress that I actually ordered four more in different colors. My coworkers took notice and several have ordered their own dresses now, too. I haven't had any trouble with fraying, loose edges, or shrinking in the laundry (although I will note, I always dry everything on low to medium heat), so I give this dress my full recommendation if you are looking for a completely comfortable dress that looks nice and can be accessorized to look quite cute and professional, yet feels like you're at work in your jammies. If I run into any issues with quality, I will certainly return to update my review.

OK, the darker colors look great and are good. I highly recommend them. I love the purple, and the brown. As far as the lighter colors go (light gray)--the fabric is MUCH thinner than the darker colors (yes, the darker colored dresses even weigh noticeably more). As a result, you can see through them... I might as well have been wearing nothing. Bra shapes, sizes, colors (even imperfections of bras and underwear). I wore panties with polka dots under thin leggings and you could see not just the color of the leggins, but the polka dots. Every seam in the panties, every seam and snag in the leggings, also showed. Even cellulite showed. The exact shape of my stomach also showed, freaking me out. So for me this was a mixed bag... some colors I like, and others I did not like at all.

I bought this size medium in the dark green for a short, medium build friend as a gift. She has some tummy and is a bit under 5ft and around 135-145lbs. She was looking for a soft and simple house-and-quickie-errands dress with pockets. I saw her wear something similar to this w/out pockets so I took a chance. When I took it out of the box and looked at it, I was sure I would have to return it. It was crazy small and looked like it was made for a skinny and shapeless 10 year old. I was hesitant to even give it to her for a try-on. The material is SUPER stretchy... like pantyhose. I put my hand under the material and could see it was kinda see-through as well, like with pantyhose. It looked dirt cheap-- like a dollar store dress. "Made in China" was boldly printed on the bag it was shoved in...Amazingly enough, I did let her try it on (because I was too lazy to return it and she lives next door lol) and it fit her perfect and even fell over her little tummy flatteringly! I was quite shocked. She's so short it came to her knees. And even though she's a senior, it didn't look like something a teenager would wear... it's just simple and comfy-- a far cry from the mau mau dress she was trying to avoid, but just as comfy. With a nice, flattering shape. Apparently just what she was looking for. She loves the big pockets as well... but I can see they hang open quite a bit. She doesn't care.Moral of the story here... don't freak when you pull this thing outta your box, lol. It's crazy stretchy and things appear way smaller than they actually are! In her house light it was not really see-through-- more amazing optical illusion or I don't know what. Weird material. But I imagine it would be in natural sunlight...? She said she didn't care as it was mainly a house/lounge dress for her and she would put on a sweater and a bra to leave the house. She hasn't washed it yet... but I will update if it dissolves after one wash, as I am predicting.My reaction would be one-star and return... but she loves it. Okay, so there you go. :)UPDATE: It did survive a washing just fine. She washed it in a lingerie bag and air-dried it and it was like new. Good idea with the lingerie bag-- this material is likely to be easily pulled by other objects in the wash/dryer. She ended up getting all colors in short sleeve in size medium. Green and burgundy are her favorite. The coffee/brown comes the tightest but still a keeper, she said.

Poorly made dress. One pocket was clearly sewn wrong and not fixed. It looks terrible, making the dress unwearable.

Really cute casual dress. Wore it with tights and boots. Looks and feels great. Material is soft and stretchy. I’m 5’2” and Size 14, I ordered a large in red. I’ve already washed and semi dried. Still looks the same.

Love this dress! The material is soft and thick..no see through! Yay! The con is part is the pockets are too loose (?).

Im 5'1 and 228lbs. My normal size is a 2x and thats what I ordered. Dress fits kinda tight so I would order a size up. Not as flowy as the picture either. Very comfortable tho. Just going to wear some shapewear under this one to make it look more smooth. Also dress is thin. Will be ordering more in a size up.
