This memory foam pillow has been a the best purchase I've made. It is exactly what I needed following 2 achilles tendon surgeries. I needed to keep my foot elevated all day and evening. And this is so handy, so much better than layering pillows.I can reach it and get it under my leg myself, whether in bed or sitting in recliner. I am able to get a hold of the corners and pull it up further under my leg as needed. I have use of my other foot and can move the pillow off so I can get up.It came rolled in a small box. Looking at it, it seemed impossible how it would expand into the photo listed. But it did...exactly as shown.I've been using this every day for 12 hours sometimes more for over 2 months. It has maintained it's shape. The only places where it has compressed is the corners where i have grabbed a hold of to pull it closer. It has not affected the function of the pillow or the angle of elevation.I am a side or stomach sleeper and with my surgery that was difficult with my cast. But I found that I could even put my casted leg on the pillow with my good leg under the pillow and it was comfortable and still my foot was elevated. My back did not hurt using this.Also moving it from room to room was easy even with having to use my knee scooter. I could either hold onto it by the thinner edge or I would prop it up on the basket of my scooterMy recovery would have been so much more frustrating and difficult were it not for this pillow. I recommend it for anyone that needs to keep their legs elevated for any reason.Pros: Easy to adjust under legs. Keeps shape. Easy to transport. Stands up on edge to make it easy to reach. Removable, washable cover. Soft & comfortable.Cons: the only con I can even imagine is it would be nice to have a fabric handle. One could easily be sewn on.

I ordered this for my wife, 4 days before her Total Knee Replacement, (my wife said she'll never recommend total knee replacement to anyone ever. It's worse than child birth). It arrived on Thursday, the day of her surgery, which she had a 1 night stay post op. When she came home and I was to care for her at home. I'm a nurse, no big deal. I brought out the support and placed her leg on it. It was very comfortable. And she had no comfort at all up to that point. So, yes get one if you or your loved ones are having knee surgery.

Opening the box, the pillow was vacuum packed but as soon as I cut open the bag, it immediately fluffed out and I was surprised at how firm and strong, yet soft it is. My friend who had foot surgery recommended this pillow for my own foot surgery. One of the reasons for the 4 stars is that lying with my foot on it, it wasn't comfortable enought on its own because of the way that it is elevated to support my knee. For me and the huge boot I had to wear, it was uncomfortable until I put a pillow on top of the elevation pillow to support my knee. After that, it was perfect. It helped immensely to releave the stress and swelling I had incurred after surgery. And since I had to sleep on my back as there was no way to lay sideways with my boot, I really thought it would was going to be a long three weeks (I'm a side/stomache sleeper). But the weeks flew by and I slept probably better than I had in a long time.Since I no longer need it for my foot, I have been using it as a pillow to elevate my head at night and I am able to sleep on my side and my stomache with it quite comfortably. I used to use 3-4 pillows for elevation but always wound up sinking down, or losing a pillow to the floor. Now I just use one pillow with the elevation pillow and it is so much more comfortable for me to sleep. And it is much more comfortable to use if I need to sit up for whatever reason, as well. Another slight negative, but not a deal breaker, is that it is not easy to carry up/downstairs. I would've liked some kind of handle or to have a bag with a handle to carry it up/downstairs.

If you're looking for a wedge for leg elevation that's high quality, firm but comfortable, suitable for larger people with heavier legs... this is for youI bought this 3 years ago and have used it almost every night since it arrived. I take it with me whenever I will be sleeping away from home... so, I've quite literally tested this wedge out for an extended period of time and it's been used and used.If you're a bigger person with heavier legs, you know the struggle with trying to find leg wedges that don't fall flat right away from the weight of your legs... if you know the struggle of needing both legs elevated to get the swelling down and having to consider buying 2 other wedges because both legs won't fit on just one...and the cringe that comes with knowing it'll cost a ton of money for those 2 wedges that just fall flat anyway...If you have those same struggles that I have, then this is going to be MIND-BLOWING for you...This wedge is super wide...I can put BOTH legs up on this and rest them very comfortably.This wedge is very high... and it's firm, but not hard like a rock at all. It's not like a memory foam type of situation... you can press your weight down on this and it will go down very little, and it immediately returns to its original form once you let up.It comes with a very very soft cover that zips on the side, so you never have to worry about rubbing against that.It's quite literally a larger person's dream... I love it, can't be without it and have a backup in my closet. I never expected it to stay just as good as the first day I used it 3 years ago... so when it eventually does need to get tossed, I have another one ready.I highly, highly, highly recommend you try this out... it's a life saver
