Wonderful Hotel
It’s a real BIG sized proper Bug Hotel at when you get it you realise that it was at a very very reasonable price! It’s incredibly well built & it’s sturdy & it has a decent metal weatherproof roof on it too. All that I’ve done is I’ve just put a good number of coats of clear odourless varnish on it especially on the back the sides & the bottom as this is going up on a the lower part of a small length of brick wall that the rain will dribble down upon (I’m placing it low as that’s where bugs are mainly thinking about it, they never nest too high up) & this length of wall it’s right in between a couple of trees & a length of Fuchsia bushes so it’ll attract wildlife & I’ll stick a hanging basket above to attract bees & butterflies & with the tree & bushes I’ll place a Bird House I got here of Amazon up on the wall with the flower basket or baskets & this big Bug Hotel to make the wall more garden & wildlife friendly. These are actually very decent boxes for the price you pay for them & they’re made from friendly sustainable wood too, I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes to fruition with this Bug Hotel over the next few months & hopefully years!

Great for bees and bugs.
Looks great in garden.Great for attracting bees and bugs. Works well.Fairly sturdy. The metal roof gives rain protection but not sure how many years the wood construction will last but wood construction is standard in such products.

Insect House
Love this...really solid and a substantial size with natural materials. So so lovely and just hooked on my tree branches. Bigger than I expected which is perfect....I hope they bring wildlife into my garden.

Read ALL the reviews before you purchase.
The metal roof came off quite easily as the pins securing it had penetrated the metal work straight through into the wood. This allowed me to paint the entire structure with non toxic wood preservative, before hanging the hotel in the recommended place in the garden. I replaced the very small wood screw with one that was more substantial that held the hanging plate in place. In turn the whole assembly was secure to a wooden trellis in the semi shade in amongst a mature honeysuckle, Boston ivy and forsythia. Now all I need is some insects, bugs and bees.

Excellent product
I bought this in July 2021. Almost 3 years ago. This has stood the test of time, and we've had some wasps and solitary bees fill up the holes in the past years, and this year leafcutter bees have taken up a lot of the holes. After 3 years outside in all sorts of UK weather, it has now started to show evidence of wear and tear, so we'll replace it with a new one of the same product in autumn. It's bigger than most "excel" sized bug hotels, and it's metal roof has kept it dry all these years. And the hanging capability is a definite plus!It has more than paid for the cost in value. I absolutely love it.

Its sturdy cheaper elsewhere but not as sturdy as this.
Sturdy insect house with a steel roof. Looks like it will last a few years. May apply some wood preserver anyway.
