First off let me say I really like this product, it's good quality and it's a great buy for the beginner. It comes with cards to describe each fly and QR code to watch a class for which fly to use. I don't know if it could be made any simpler. If you want to know more about fly fishing go to their YouTube channel and watch away. I couldn't be happier as now my wife has caught the fever, I don't have to explain everything I can just say go watch the video. The kit literally gives you everything you al the flys t you need to catch Trout. Every size and type of fly is provided with multiple sizes. The kit come in its own boxes so you can throw it into your back pack and go fishing, great functionality. The display and look of the product screams quality. I have become a huge fan. Thanks to the guys at Venture Fly Co. I have watched a bunch of their videos and they explain it all. I can relate to the guys in the videos.

Great selection and great quality

Great value, good selection. Great for dropper rigs with both dry and weighted flies. All of mine were tie ready with no prep, adjustments, or eye cleaning needed. Box is fine, nothing special. Central Texas if location is important to you.

Flies look great, good color, well built. Plan to get a new case!!!! The plastic case it came in is cheap, soft plastic. The first time I opened it the lid flew off and the flies launched into the grass. Found most with a magnet but about 10 are gone for good.

The assortment of flies are spot on. No cheap foreign made crap here, the flies are all high quality. The main reason to support Ventures though is that they will do everything they can to help you as a fly fisherman. Their vast library of instructional videos on Youtube are so informative and parts are lighthearted and comical. Too many fly fishermen are snooty and it’s refreshing to find instructors that are willing to share their expertise to make YOU better and also make you chuckle. I want to go fishing with these dudes! Or have a beer and a cigar and use our daily allotment of cuss words! Keep up the great work boys, you have a customer for life…

At less than $1/fly, even if the quality isn't always perfect and the hooks require a lot of sharpening, it's an incredibly stellar deal. Certainly better quality than any of the generic brand stuff. It's also nice that they include cards for identifying the flies, but it would have been nice if the cards could fit inside the fly case. Good starter set that covers almost everything trout related for anywhere in the world, but you will quickly find that you will focus on a handful of flies for your particular hatch and areas, so most of them are not necessarily useful on a daily basis, but great to have in the quiver.

Received the product a little over a week ago and immediately you can tell the packaging and branding is very nice. Additionally, the layout and ease of use of the fly names, cards etc. are great. I was a bit concerned though when going through the flies that a few had loose thread and I was not sure if they would hold up. I have used the Zebra nymph twice and it has fallen apart and no longer usable. The sad thing is that it come undone without catching a fish. So all in all it is a good packaged product, I think they just need to work on the quality of the flies. Might be a process problem or simply an overlook. I would purchase again. I think there is good value here.
