I read a lot of reviews before I bought this jug. I have had simple plastic jugs and found them to boil water in quite quickly. Recently I bought a highly rated GLASS jug and found two things....it was slow to boil and cooled off SUPER fast. I though...hummmm, the cheaper they are the faster they boil. (no scientific study yet tho)One reviewer said: DO NOT BUY IT WILL BURN YOU. She said it didn't stop boiling till WELL after it started to boil. The other woman posted that hers rusted on the bottom. (SAY WHAAAAAT?)This jug (kettle, what ever) is so wonderful that I don't think I will ever get another one.--It boils water FAST.--It has like 5 settings, the highest is a bit above boiling...to make sure you get that real good rolling going on.--The next one down is for French Press/Plunger style coffee --well, it says coffee.--from there....who really cares because....Coffee? Am I right?-----------So, it is clean looking with a lit-up display that shows you the temperature it is currently at. It disappears when you disappear with your newly found cuppa.The Temps appear to be Very accurate....cuz I can hear it boil then I hear it...sorta low rumble like....Ah....that is a full roller there!! (Again, no science went into this discovery)The inside is a beautiful brushed aluminum finish...not too shiny.Gals....n you guys also....this Jug is a Jug of Jugs....you will not be disappointed.It does not burn you...unless you put your hand or arm (or other parts) where they should not be. It does not rust....unless you put rust in it. It boils fast and it stays hot for MUCH longer than a plastic or glass (god forbid you buy glass) jug.***Disclaimer: I do have one lil thing I wish: That when I chose "Hot Hot" (or Coffee Hot) the setting would stay there. I mean...who wants to take the time to hit the button twice...RIGHT?--This jug is HAWT!!!

Okay, honest thoughts. Firstly, it's an amazing product for its cost. But of course, there are also a couple flaws. I'm honestly quite impressed by the quality of this kettle, I was a little skeptical at first, considering its rather low price, at the time of my purchase (42.95USD). But it seems to be a well made product, it's literally how and what you see it on Amazon. The only minor complaint I have would be the LED panels. It's simple, how it should be. The number on the panel reads the temperature of the content inside, and there are only a handful of heating options, it's essentially dummy proof. But the LED seems really dim. In a bright kitchen it's a little difficult to read, and the brightness is non adjustable. Another thing, and my only other minor complaint is the way the kettle is designed. It's possible to get hot steam on your thumb whilst pouring, and it's rather unpleasant. Obviously it's very avoidable, but since the lid release is way up top, it's easy to just rest your finger near the top. But in all honesty, I'd rate this a 5 star product. The issues are very very minor, and for the price, there's nothing to complain about. Besides, there's a 1 year Free warranty, 2 years for Amazon members, it really is a nice touch. I'd give it a go.

Literally just received this pot! Couldn't wait to try it. Fast heating, solid item. Made well. Filled to Max. As far as I could tell the water comes out about 3-4° hotter than the digital gauge indicates. But then again, it may be my thermometer that is off! Acceptable to me. Double wall is nice so no fear of burning yourself. Heated from 80° tap water temp (Florida) to 175° in under 4 minutes. Temp touch setting is super sensitive. Almost like you're not even touching the pot and setting adjusts! Very good thing! NO PLASTIC TOUCHES LIQUID!!! Finally! I returned 2 others to Amazon because there was plastic in contact with liquid even though description indicated there was not. Why can't the other manufacturers consider the health of their clients as this one does? This pot is very light and returns to base without having to fight it like I did my other! Very quite operation. Didn't even know it was working except temp gauge was going up! Actually seems to be well made, including the lid that is connected to the handle. Solid that is. Handle seems to be well sealed so no water can get into it like so many others. Also the bottom is reasonably sealed to not allow water in if you get a little sloppy when cleaning. As of now, EXTREMELY HAPPY with this pot. Best by far out of 4 others.
