SYGAV Android 11 for Toyota RAV4 Radio with Carplay Android Auto 9" Touch Screen Stereo GPS Navigation Head Unit

This is an excellent upgrade to the stock RAV4 screen. It is easy to install (see YouTube videos), the screen is beautiful, the system is fast, and works great! I've been running this for one year and never had a problem.

** THIS REVIEW IS SPECIFIC TO THE 9" screen for the Toyota RAV4 **. I have been very nervous about this product as it was an unknown brand but I loved how it was shaped to fit my 2017 Toyota Rav4. Listed as a plug and play we watched the video and debating doing it ourselves, but opted to take it to a local car stereo expert.They, too, had not heard of the brand and they warned that many times the steering wheel control does not work with some of the lesser-known brands (they weren't trying to sell me anything that would make it work). The cords were clearly labeled and all items were intact. We opted to purchase an additional cord to keep the USB alive (we purchased directly on the SYGAV site but it was taking so long we purchased a maestro from crutchfield. Both arrived on the day of install so we took them both and they wound up using the Maestro cord.Installer was VERY complimentary of the product and confirmed it was extremely easy to install (enough that she took the price down for us) Steering wheel features work fine. She said she will be recommending it to others and would even think about putting it in her own truck. Pairing of our google phones with WiFi was a little clunkier than most brand names but the screen is responsive and somewhat intuitive (I am pretty inept with electronics).I will post again in a month after I have been using it. Back up camera isn't as clear as the Original, but I might be able to play with the screen. the video on You Tube was amazing (better than my own Samsung tablet). Looking forward to this - that old Entune system was a disaster.** UPDATE AFTER USE: STILL LOVE IT **Six months later and I will say I really do enjoy the screen and options it provides. I am not doing the full five stars because it is NOT the most intuitive to use. I was trying to use it with Android Auto but that proved too challenging (that may be more on Android Auto the this product). I use my cell phone as a hot spot and wow - it's like having a tablet in my car! I am completely hooked to google assistant and maps and the screen is great! Can easily download all apps on google play. The bluetooth phone acts up on occasion for reasons I have yet to determine - sometimes it just doesn't sync. The actual radio does not have HD (yes - I am still old school and would prefer just a local radio station vs iHeart radio or other streaming options which I do use on longer road trips). I am honestly still unclear if my USB option works - it charges, but I was expecting a mirroring situation which I don't see it happening.I have never contacted support and I did purchase a warranty on the unit through amazon for peace of mind. I would rate myself about a 4 on a scale of 1-10 for technical savvy and I found my way around okay, but it took a lot of time.

2013 Rav4.Easy to install. I still recommended to watch tutorial in YouTube to get all connections right at once. This radio doesn't use metal plates that go screwed to the car as the original radio. Still is placed right and won't fall off. It's a great addition to the interior :)

This product was very easy to install. Watch a few videos to learn how to disassemble your particular car stereo enclosure. All the plugs worked and it has an amazing sound quality and equalizer.The look upgrades the interior and the availability of Apple Car Play/Android Auto brings any car to the new age. The stereo does not screw in with a bracket, but is held on using the retaining clips. This was very sturdy despite me being skeptical at first.The reason for the loss of a star is upon starting the car, the radio sometimes takes longer than a minute to fully boot. This is entirely random, but happens often. Other times, the radio is on and active almost immediately.

It gave my 2017 Rav 4 XLE new life. I had to play around with he back up cam wires until I found the right match and the canbus needs to be changed to your specific vehicle other than that, it was fun to install.

Great radio, easy install 2 issues on 2018 Toyota RAV4 adventure. 1. Steering Wheel controls do not work… wife not happy about that. Secondly the 3.5mm audio port no longer works so the XmRadio is unusable. If someone knows a fix for both I will give this a 5 out of 5!

I got the 9 inch screen for a 2018 rav4 and it was super easy to install. Took less then an hour and all factory functions like back up camera, steering wheel controls, and stereo sound work great.

I opted for the 9 inch version as I prefer the way it fits. Overall I’ve been very happy with the head unit. The wireless carplay works very well.The steering wheel keys stopped working after a while, so I contacted the tech support and they were very helpful and responded quickly every time I messaged them. Ultimately they ended up sending me a new wire harness which solved the problem.The installation is pretty simple. The pins only fit in one place on the back of the unit and the harness ends only fit the clip they’re meant for.I’m very happy with the unit.
