What’s not to like!

While the description and buyer comments led me to believe that this handle might fit our recliner, there was no way to be sure until it arrived and I installed it. It matches perfectly!! Couldn't be happier. One slight hitch is with the slot where the cable sheath fits into a notch -- had to shave the opening just a hair with a razor blade to allow it to pass into the opening - kind of a keyhole slot. I think another customer mentioned using a dremmel to enlarge the slot -- doesn't need much -- maybe about 1/64th of an inch or so. Otherwise, a quick and easy installation!

This recliner handle matched my broken handle perfectly. And it works great. Two issues, however. There were no installation instructions. Luckily, I found a helpful Youtube instructional video for a similar product. Also the attached plastic retaining clip that holds the cable was too narrow compared to the clip on the broken handle. So I took a nail file and carefully filed some of the plastic until the cable clipped snuggly into the bracket. The product does work nicely. I can't tell I even replaced the handle.

Be better if designed to last longer.

I bought this replacement handle 3 years and 5 months ago and it came apart in my hand this afternoon. I'm disappointed. I won't be buying this one again. As for a review, here it is....... It's not hard to install but it isn't easy either. The quality isn't there which is proven by it's failure after three years. You might as well get the cheapest on you can find as this more expensive one won't last.

Just when I was beginning to believe that I was going to have to adapt another t-type recliner release, this one finally showed up in the item search results to save the day. Perfect form & fit replacement! Just the handle assembly. No cable.

Great part but this didn't have enough photos of the back of the unit to show how the cable connected. I was able to take this and the original part together too make a working substitute but it wasn't a simple one for one swap.

I loved this product! It worked perfectly & was really easy for my husband to install. It only took fifteen minutes. Our sofa with a recliner chair was sixteen years old so I thought we'd never find the part. Jokingly I said let's look on Amazon they have everything! Plus it was inexpensive! Our sofa has been restored!
