Don't get me wrong I love my Axial F-100 it is a great truck. But its a great base to start with once you start driving your rock crawler you find there are things you need to improve on and that is with any RC crawler.You'll find you need more weight down low, maybe knobbier tires, better shocks, the list goes on and on because you are basically customizing it and that is what having an RC car is all about. I don't have one bad thing to say about my Axial SCX10 F-100 looks good, drives good and is very well made.

I can find nothing bad, and many things good, about this truck out of the box. Beautiful Scale appearance, very well designed and built, and performs superbly. The turning radius of the front wheels is way more than most crawlers, and really aids steep climbing. Great power, torque and the truck is a miser on battery power. Tires and suspension are fabulous, very durable too! Real see-through tinted windows instead of stickers, GORGEOUS chrome grille, etc. etc. etc. Comes with MANY parts and the best RC instruction manual I've ever seen. And this is priced about $100 less than equivalent trucks in my opinion.

I have owned this truck for several months.The airfield I belong to has a really nice rock crawler track.I am very new to rock crawling I have really learned a lot fron this truck t really draws attention.I did two mods.I changed the tires and rims found exact in metal.I also changed the shocks .I can master the course now what a great truck.

The body of the SCX10 II 1955 Ford F100 is stunning, and the chassis underneath the body performs well right out of the box. The only things necessary to turn this crawler from a good performer to a great performer are (1) better wheels and tires; and (2) a stronger steering servo. The tires and servos on most ready to run (RTR) crawlers are generally mediocre at best, so having them on the Axial SCX10 II is to be expected. A good 25kg servo can be purchased for as little as $20, and a decent set of wheels and tires can be purchased starting at around $80 and going up over $100, depending on the quality of the items. Both are good investments, and will improve the performance of the vehicle significantly. Even without the upgrades the Axial SCX10 II 1955 Ford F100 is fun to drive: it just won't meet its full potential.

Truck handles well and the suspension articulates nicely. Tires are ok for a RTR. Only draw back is that it is on the light side and doesn't have the weight to dig into some of the steeper climbs (55+ degrees) on loose surfaces. The stock brushless motor has more than enough smooth bottom end torque. Great platform to start with and upgrade as it has a huge aftermarket following. Ordering a set of aluminum beadlocks to try and add a little weight down low and see how it climbs then.Update - Added a set of aluminum beadlocks and Duratrax Deepwoods tires, climbs like crazy now.

Great looking truck really like the scale look tires not to big and nice fender gaps also like the included lights on the bumper, only downside I can tell so far is the ic3 connector which I have never worked with and will soon be cutting off in favor of a deans connector which my batteries will work with but other than that great scale truck definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed this 1955 Ford rock crawler by Axial, it is nearly unstoppable, unfortunately it developed a problem with the servo as some of them do, but the seller was super helpful and we got everything resolved very quickly, I would happily buy from these guys again.

Looks great out of the box and performs well. Add a few upgrades and it will really crawl.
