Super quality, great sound
Top quality, rich sound, crisp and bright almost equal to full-sized tenor banjo. Way better than any other banjoleles I've heard. Hand crafted, meticulously finished, sturdy, and handsome. We'll worth the price. Custom case is very protective, excellent quality.

Deering good... dealer bad.
Deering is a good banjo maker, but this one would not stay in tune—strings installed incorrect. I cannot say by dealer or maker. I am very lucky that this banjo made it to me unharmed as it was packaged substandard and the accessories just tossed in the shipping box which I almost threw away. Dealers are just in it for the money and do not really care. In addition, the UPS driver left it in the rain rather than on the porch... my wife saved it!
