Pretty soft after the first wash, and dried on perma press in the dryer. I didn’t bother to iron them because … well, they’re snot rags, so why bother. For size comparison, the bottom handkerchief (available on Amazon and comparable in feel to the Houlife) started out at 17 inches and shrank an inch or more after a couple of washes. The white one is my husband’s 13 inch handkerchief. And the Houlife on top started out at 11x11 inches and shrank to 10 x 10.5 inches after one wash. The size is fine (for purse, pocket, or child) as long as you don’t have a massive nasal blowout.

What I like are the colors. I also like that I am not having to always search for a tissue, or continue to purchase boxes of tissues that require that more trees are destroy so that I can use them to wipe my nose. It is unnecessary waste when handkerchiefs can provide the same service and be washed and reused. It is one of the ways I respect and honor the existing forests.

These are soft, pretty, and do the job. Hoping that going old-school will help save the planet in some minuscule way.

Lots of allergens where I live and I always carry a handkerchief for my leaky nose. These are the best quality handkerchiefs I've used in years. Sizing is good. Not large as regular men's handkerchiefs but not skimpy like regular ladies's handkerchiefs. They machine wash well. I've just reordered another batch.

These hankies shrunk to the perfect size after washing. Just right for a pocket.

I have been wanting some classic hankies. These are perfect they combine modern colors with vintage patterns. I'd recommend washing them in cold water and hang to dry. They can shrink. You could ironing right after washing them in medium heat to keep them crispy.

They're really pretty and the size is perfect when space is limited. I wouldn't take them on a long morning winter walk (I have men's sized hankies tucked into my winter coats for that), but they're great for allergy sniffles, tears of laughter, and light nose-blowing.They're a little scratchy at first, but they soften up after washing a few times - the edges are holding up beautifully, and I've washed them with towels, jeans, and bedding to aid in the softening process.

Those handkerchief reminded me of once I used to get in Germany! Great product !

Very soft on face. Suitable for someone who has oily face. You sweat a lot? No problem.

These hankies are a perfect size to replace tissues and are super soft! I am so pleased with this purchase!

These hankies are a little rough when you first get them, but after a couple of washes they are soft. They get more soft after each wash. They are very absorbent and dry quickly too. We have saved a fortune by using these instead of tissues.

This is my second batch of these perfect sized hankies. Needed enough to get me through allergy season.
