Highly recommended, best of breed
Quality product, quality design, quality support, the Mercedes of BBQ grills! Just to expand, uses a "double chamber" design that makes ash/oil collection easy, can use fans without directly blowing up ash, retains heat magnificently - this is the top of the line Webber-like grill. Highly recommended add on: Cajun Bandit 22.5" rotisserie kit. Fits perfectly, similar quality, unbelievable results!

Great Product Ruined By Stupidity
I don't ever write reviews but I wanted to save someone the hassle of buying this. First let me say the grill is actually really nice. The metal is heavy gauge and nicely finished. It really is a grill worthy of $400. So what's wrong with it? In short, the worst packaging job I've ever seen. First of all I'm not even sure the cardboard used for the box is rated for the weight of the package. It tears super easy and the joints are lightly glued together, not stapled like most heavy items. You can probably imagine what shape it arrives in after fedex gets ahold of it. Second, the legs are packaged together in carboard but the rest of the packaging consists of paper thin foam and the air cushion pockets amazon uses as filler when they put a box in another box. This is all that is protecting the giant, heavy metal pieces from banging into each other. Nothing is taped together so it doesn't shift, no cardboard reinforcement, no rigid styrofoam to support pieces, just a bunch of metal haphazardly thrown into a thin box. The result is exactly what you would expect. And no, this isn't a one off thing, I've gone through 3 of them. Luckily Amazon has a great hassle free return policy and the reps I've talked to are some of the nicest people I've spoken to so hats off to them. Hopefully they take this off the site until dancook figures out how to package things properly but if not let this serve as a warning. *EDIT* The reason I'm harping on the packaging is because if you're ordering from amazon it is going to be shipped to you. If it does not arrive in a usable state because the manufacturer cannot package it correctly then it is worthless and a 1 star product.

... think they are taking their justifiable anger about the poor package out on a quality grill
I disagree with the other reviewer and think they are taking their justifiable anger about the poor package out on a quality grill. This is actually a very nice grill and one of the hottest kettle grills I have every cooked on. I got this from a hardware store in GA that had it on clearance so I paid half price which is a barging. I agree with the other reviewer that $400 is a lot of a charcoal kettle grill. Pros: Made of quality materials Capable of reaching very high temperatures Temperature is easy to control Cons: High price No thermometer (I drilled a whole and added one myself. So not to upset about this but at $400 bucks, come on throw in the thermometer) Handle gets hot as hades so have a heat resistant glove when using this grill No tool rack Accessories are hard to find but luckily Weber ones work for the most part Bottom line: This is a great grill that cooks at a high temperature and will last a long time. Glad I have it.

Best grill I ever owned
Owned several smaller and larger charcoal grills, including Weber and other brands, but this is my favorite of all of them. Why? -The "double wall" construction is very efficient with fuel, and works great for both searing meat and cooking on low temperatures. -Just a few parts, no bolts etc. on the inside. Because of this, it's very easy to clean. -There's only an air vent at the top - and it works well to control the temperature. Less is more. -Very sturdy grill grates. The "fork" tool to lift it works great too. -I think it looks great. -Very sturdy construction, in contrast to some better known grills with wheels. You lose some portability, but moving is not that difficult. -There aren't too many accesories, but you can always use the Weber ones for this size kettle. Don't use them too much anyway. Got this grill through Amazon Germany (I am from the Netherlands) where it is a bit cheaper. I have a version without the side table, which looked a bit small to me. I just put small table next to it.
