OH MY GOD! I have been dealing with a massive bunion on my left foot. I had been using different pads, building up multiple layers, etc., trying to get the pressure off. This was expensive and often resulted in my ripping skin from my foot when removing them at the end of the day. I found this product when searching for a replacement for the pads. As I read more about how the pain from bunions was generated, I begin to understand what I was doing wrong. I thought it was direct pressure; however, it's the rubbing against the bunion from the shoe as you walk that creates the pain. Well, I say this and figure "Well, it's $10. If it works great. If it doesn't work, it's just $10". They arrived (2) and I put it on my foot. The silicon sheath that goes over the bunion is very thin; so, I was a bit skeptical. That skepticism lasted about 30 minutes. I wore them constantly for the last two days. Normally, I would be experiencing pain within the first 30 minutes. Within a couple of hours, I'd have to switch to water shoes or sandals. That's fine when it's 80 outside - not so much when it's 35 outside. Since putting this thing on my foot, the pain is gone! You barely even know you have anything on. The simplicity of the design is amazing. I will be ordering more of these because I don't want to take a chance and ever being without at least one in reserve (just in case something happens.)If you wondering will they fit your big foot, I wear a 15EEE and my left foot turns at about 45+ degrees due to the bunion. They fit perfectly. I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who is suffering from bunions and wants an easy, non-invasive solution to the problem. Love, love, love them!

I thought that these were helpful at first, but it turns out that is what's known as a sensitization period. Basically, my body rejected these due to some component in the chemical composition of these bunion guards. I have Acute Allergic Dermatitis from the exposure to them. The one for my right foot was causing me a lot of pain after briefly wearing it, so I discontinued use after the first day with that one. The pictures show what my left foot looked like after wearing for just over 2 weeks. I was really upset that I couldn't wear it as it did help to straighten my toe but it was shocking to see the inflammation it caused. I want to note that this is not a result of rubbing inside of a shoe at all. My routine had become wearing the guard most of the day and also most of the night and removing to bathe..rinsing it off with tepid water and air drying it. Sometimes I would put it back on before I went to bed and other times I'd wait until morning. I did wear it beneath my socks and shoes sometimes but it was primarily worn around the house in bare feet or with slippers. I had no visible signs of a problem and the irritation was very sudden. My big toe and the 2nd toe were both terribly inflamed. I didn't think to get photos until, I believe about 48 hrs after I discovered it.I do not have psoriasis or other related dermatological issues, nor have I ever had. I have no known allergies to anything beyond some medication, so this was quite unexpected. My skin is not particularly sensitive and I have never experienced anything like this before.This has been quite uncomfortable and unpleasant. I was actually quite fortunate as this condition can be far worse and get that way very quickly. It takes 14-21 days generally to see the reaction for this particular issue, although you may certainly experience problems sooner.I have been improving gradually but a week later I still have irritation, discomfort and a lot of skin peeling to the area and also had a small amount of irritation that was evidently spread to a couple of other areas, to a minimal extent, before I was aware of what this was exactly or that it was possible to spread it!I think that other people should be aware that this could happen to you and exercise caution when using this or similar products. If you decide to buy this item, take care to use it alternately with other appliances of different material. I urge you to watch it closely and discontinue immediately if you experience pain, irritation or swelling to any extent. Consult with your physician before using this or any other appliance.

The truth is that I don't yet know exactly how to rate this, for the simple reason that I haven't used it enough.It feels good in my shoes. It is built of a very soft material. There are no irritating spots on any surface, but at the end of each day, my big toe feels "tired" and I am happy to take my shoes off. The gadget was recommended by my physical therapist, so I assume that she knows, but I think that I need to use it for a longer period if time to know it's effect.

The bunion pads arrived pretty quickly and clean. Looks like good material. The only problem I had with them was small ring (or hole) for the big toe. Since it’s small, the pad stays in an angle instead of staying straight. Combination of the fact that the big toe is stronger than other toes, and pad staying in angle cause other toes being pushed away towards outside of foot. For bunion it’s helpful to push the big toe away towards inside, not the other way. Actually pushing other toes to outside may make it worse. These bunion pads might be good for very tiny feet and toes. Another kind of bunion pad that I had before had larger hole and I didn’t have this problem with it.

Have a bunion this was a product I tried. It may work for someone else just too snug for my toe. I cut the block and it still was too uncomfortable. Again I wear 8.5 wide.

Spacer between toes is smaller than the one we were replacing (an item not currently available). For those seeking to reduce pain/progression of bunions, consider size of spacers and order accordingly (these do not work for us)

Might work for some people. Caused blisters on me in inside of big toe.

These were for my husband. He got them on but the flap to cover the bunion hardly reached it. It certainly didn't cover it or help at all. It is much too small. My husband's feet are a size 10 UK sizing not anyway unusual. It would fit a young teen. A waste of money and a lesson learned.
