Power-Pole Sportsman II, 8ft., Black

I received this item for a few bucks cheaper than buying at a box store. Installation was easy (dealer wanted just over 3k to purchase and install) has it on in 15 minutes and operating in no time. If my plan was to keep the boat I have I would purchase another.

I bought this item last year. on my second fishing trip the stick broke really easy, there was some current going on but not like to break it so soon. before I bought this product i was using the manual fiberglass stick for the last 7 years, but because with the sun exposure it started getting fiberglass splinters that sometimes would get on my hand when handling it, so I finally decided on buying this power pole. Installation was kind of easy, just read instructions carefully, it came with backing plate installation, all fasteners included, all the wiring, it includes two remotes which work great. the main hydraulic mechanism looks solid and well built except the cheap plastic pole they send you. I would expect from this company to at least give you a heads up, or give you the option of getting an extra heavy duty solid stick all the way and I would very likely add it on to the purchase from the first time. Customer service is* HORRIBLE*, they will not even pick up calls or even return messages or emails. So I'm stuck with a nice power pole for the looks only, Im back to my trusty old manual stick on pole which I have now given a fresh coat of resin and works like new, really strong and wont break no matter how hard the current is (hard to pull out sometimes but gives you a good workout). I will be soon go shopping for an extra stick replacement, but wanted people to be aware of this issue. update: 06/29/20 I went back and tried customer service again, got a good response, they offered to send me a stick replacement and was shipped same day by fedex. no questions asked other than making sure which model I had. I added another picture of the spike received so if you are first time user like me, you know how the spike needs to look like, should be solid all the way up, not hollow.

Easy install and works well on mud sea bottom

Power Pole itself is a great product no doubt. I bought the Sportsman to put on a second boat to save a little money but man that pole has NOT disappeared at all. I've read they are slower and noisier than the Blade and other models but I have not seen anything like that. It deploys and retracts as fast as most other Power Poles I've had and has held everytime I've used it. Is it the prettiest, maybe not but I'm not looking at it while I'm fishing I'm looking for the net to land my fish that the pole held my boat in place at.

Nice piece , all working as advertised , easy to install with the appropriate bracket, excellent customer service, all questions answered promptly. I recommend.

Easy install, Make sure installation area is clear of obstructions, I had to move mine over 2 inches to clear transom support... Got the instructions, took my time and in 2-1/2 hrs it was working like it is supposed to... All that's left, is to finish the priming when we put it in the water... Take your time, plan, measure and assure that there are no in hull obstructions and "bam" it's done...

Very Excited! Expected delivery date was Oct. 13th and I received it on Oct. 6th! Getting installed Monday the 8th!! Can't wait, if it works as good as the reviews claim I will be purchasing another! Thank you for the fast service
