Saves a big mess
These work great once installed for changing your oil with half the usual mess. Now, if they could figure out how to control the flow of oil out of the filter, I'd be able to do an oil change and not have to take a shower or pressure wash the driveway afterward. I still haven't got complete confidence in the valve's security, so I keep looking under the drain pan to see if it is leaking or popped open, but it's doing its job. You need to get a short piece of tubing to attach over the nipple to route the oil to your oil pan. Also, on Honda Pilot, you also need to get an adapter extension, and even that didn't work without locking up against the oil pan before fulling tightening...contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a couple fiber washers to make the valve/adapter bottom out before hitting the oil pan.

No problems with it. Seems to be well made ...
No problems with it. Seems to be well made but I do not use or need it. The website stated that I would need this adapter, So I ordered it for no reason as it is not needed on my 11 sierra 5.3.

Good idea.... could be better quality.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Depending on the car, you will still have clearance issues. Use teflon tape. 7/8" wrench. A little torque, and it breaks. Sticks out a little too much. It breaks. Attach 3/8" ID plastic tube to nipple. Route other end of tube into container such as a gallon milk jug. No mess oil change.

Basically always buy....
So I purchased an EZ oil drain for my 2014 focus that said I do not need an adapter... I did. So I decided to put the drain on my wife's 2010 Cobalt, also said that it does not need it. It did. In both cases the valve lever wouldn't clear the oil pan. So basically they should just build this into the drain.

Great little addition
Every time I change oil in my wife's MKX, there's a strut in the way of the oil stream and I get a mess all over the driveway. This solved that, directing the oil straight into the collection pan.VERY positive shutoff lever, no chance of an accidental opening. I like it!

Not needed for 2014 GMC Sierra 6.2L
Vendor site stated this item was needed to install on GMC Sierra 6.2L, Item is actually not needed. Adapter was ordered with EZ-107 Drain Valve, and EZ L-001 90 Degree Hose End. I was able to install just the drain valve and 90 degree hoses end without any issues or leaks, if the adapter was installed the entire setup would extend an additional 1/2 inch. Over all the adapter is well built, but is not needed for the 2014 GMC Sierra 6.2L application.

Might not need this
Used this with the drain valve as per manufacturer recommend. The adapter allows for a larger O-ring to seal against the pan, the drain valve may work without the adapter as they are the same thread pitch.08 Silverado 5.3

If you purchase the EZA107, you must buy this adapter
This adapter is an absolute must if you want to install the EZ oil drain valve. Without it, the valve will not clear the oil pan on my truck. I highly recommend.

Nice bits, especially at the price...
These are REALLY-nicely-machined pieces; no chowdery bits on the threads, the coatings are uniform, and the actual valves function beautifully.Issue I had was with the 107 adapter. Set my favorite torque arm to 15 ft./lbs, and got set up to install these beauties a bit at a time (havn't calibrated in a few years....) as the wrench clicked past rating, the entire threadform split under RADIAL load, and as I felt it give, I managed to back the entire bit out without leaving any partial bits behind in my oil pan......(so either my wrench picked up a ~20+% error, or something else failed....) Ended up with a partially-sheared threadform on the adapter, and am now re-considering use of the whole deal. I'd feel better if the simple materials were 'slightly' softer than the pan, rather than 'entirely fragile'. Brass kinda sucks, but it was worth a shot.Like I said before, great looking bits; nicely machined, and probably very handy when they work right.......just re-thinking the whole thing, considering I can SLAM the drain bolt in and pay little attention to torque....might go for it eventually, might not.....we'll see. BE GENTLE!
