Q: Is it suitable for a pizza oven heat?

I don't know the heat of a pizza oven but it is very solid cast iron and copes in my oven on full which is about 240 degrees and a fan oven. Love this item very useful for all sorts of things including bread.

Q: Can the cast iron Dutch oven be used on an induction hob?

Yes, I've used my Cast iron on my induction hob. They hold heat in great. Just remember to clean gently, no scourers, and dry and oil after use.

Q: Can this be used at 250 degrees centigrade in oven?

Yes, I bake sourdough in mine at 250c. I've used it a few times, the coating is still fine

Q: Did anybody have any problems with the product not being fully coated ie, some silver areas?

The cast iron pot comes seasoned from the factory but it is recommended to wash and dry your pot and rub in a very light layer of cooking oil on all the surfaces, inside and out. Put it in a preheated oven at 230deg C for approx 30mins and let it cook down. repeat a couple of times. Every time you use your pot the seasoning will improve, Try not to use too much soap to wash your pot, make sure you dry it each time and always apply a very light coating of cooking oil.
