Best electric smoker for the money that I could find. I find the temp gauge to be accurate, but I use a probe anyway. GREAT product. Here's a pic of my first rack of Ribs on the smoker.

Masterbuilt smoker
I have used it multiple times now since I have had it, and I have to say it is great, the shelves glide in and out easy for loading food and the shelf that holds the water and and smoking chips slides out for easy filling. After smoking clean up is easy, everything wipes down very easy, everything has a nice coating to protect it and I spray the grates first which helps.

Not a novice with this smoker. Have had the same one for 7 years. Use it about 24 times a year.. Having had to replace heating element once. Cheap fix. Kept covered outside but still rusted a bit. Sandpaper and black grill paint another easy fix. Front heat dial not accurate. I bought a Bluetooth thermometer with 2 probes.One in the back vent to monitor temp and one in the meat. Works perfect. My old one still works and will give away. Some tips. Usually use 2 top racks and make a tray with foil on 3rd rack to catch grease. Easy cleanup. Just did a brisket on old smoker . Perfect. If I get 7 years out of this one for the price a good bargain.Only 4 stars for delivery handling. Smoker was well cushioned but box was beat up . At least 4 punctures on box and dent on one side of smoker. Should not effect function so not sending back but not happy. Good smoker for the price.

It worked well when it worked
I'm sure I just got a bad apple smoker (was made on a Friday before a long weekend!). Even the welding didn't look crisp. The product stopped working in the middle of the second use. I've heard nothing but good about these smokers. Seller refunded me. That's what's supposed to happen. Thank you!It doesn't have a digital temperature setting (you can't just turn it to 200 degrees and walk away, because there's no way of know what setting is 200 degrees), and you cannot add wood without opening the door and letting out heat. I'm going to buy another Masterbuilt that will give me those options and will follow-up.Much love to the Seller

Made to rust; don't waste your money
I've had this smoker for three or four years and it's complete junk. The thermostat doesn't regulate the temperature well at all, the thermometer in the door stopped working. Worst of all, the top rusted out in just a few years, and seems to be designed to fail. The top panel is situated in such a way that all the steam that escapes from the top of the door gets underneath it and is trapped. The inside panels seem to be made of stainless steel, but not the top--it will rust out in just a few years.I've made it work by buying a separate electronic temperature regulator and replacing the top with an aluminum panel. If I had it to do over again, I'd just buy a decent smoker to begin with.
