We mineral piled it when we got it to prevent water damage. Did not help. The board warped with the first month of use. We never put it in the dishwasher.

The photo of the cutting board shows a solid piece of wood. The cutting board I received is not solid. They are pieces of wood planks glued together. Unfortunately, it's too late to return by the time I opened the box.

I purchased this because I needed a nice cheese board for entertaining. When it arrived I was really pleased with how beautiful it is. The design is nice and the cherry wood is very pretty. After the first use, I treated it with mineral oil because soft cheeses were sticking to it and it was difficult to clean easily after use. The mineral oil brought out the wood grain and color even more and made it even better looking and easier to clean.

When the cutting board arrived I thought it was very nice. It was a nice size and seemed like nice maple wood. I oiled it as suggested and only washed it by hand. But after only 3 weeks of use, it is now warped and has a crack in it (see photos). It is very disappointing. Amazon is accepting the return & providing me a full refund. But the quality of this cutting board is just not what it should be for the price.

Just need to season it with mineral oil before using. Little rough but oil (mineral/Walrus oil) is required. 48 hours later you have a nice cutting surface.

Took extra good care of it, but it warped after a few months. I also had to sandpaper a nasty manufacturing edge gash when it arrived. Wasn't easy and spent over 20 minutes working on it. Warped so badly that it's almost unusable. I have to put things underneath in a certain way just to use it. It's still unsteady and try not to cut myself with the knife if the board lurches.

I like that these are still available.The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) approves maple as a safe option for inhibiting bacterial growth around food. I don't trust bamboo because it's porous on the ends (bacterial safe-houses if you please). it may be sealed when sold, but time marches on etc., etc., etc.

Nice cutting board. Can use one side for meats and the other for vegetables. As with all wood boards, it needs to be conditioned with food grade mineral oil and wax.

This was a wedding anniversary gift cherry wood being important, we are extremely disappointed that the wrapping provided was not as per the picture just a piece of paper with "thank you" and no wood description

Overall good quality. Light and easy to move from cupboard to counter. Does not move when cutting on the board. It does show knife marks which is expected. Nice size. Small enough to cut vegetables and big enough for 15 pound turkey

I love this cutting board for its looks and durability.

Broken half after 1 month... really disappointed considering the price not worth buying I feel scammed out of money.
