Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun

THE BEST AFTER SUN LOTION! This is the best ever! It smells fantastic, and it leaves my skin so smooth. This lotion does not let you peel. Not greasy!

The first time I tried the Hawaiian Tropic silk hydration moisturizer I was at the beach after getting slightly sunburned and we were all looking for moisturizers and aloe. I am fair skinned and burn easily, and normally it does not turn into a tan. I liked all the properties this had and the aloe in it. I decided to try it, and the next day I had a tan. My vacation wasn't stuck under an umbrella being burnt. From then on I've had a loving relationship with my Hawaiian Tropic silk hydration after sun moisturizer. After tanning each day and taking a shower, I immediately apply it. It is quick to dry and does not leave you feeling sticky for long. I compared the silk hydration to the shimmer effect, and I do believe that the silk hydration moisturizes the best to prolong tans and treat sunburn. While it lacks the shine, I find it is better in moisturizing one's skin to keep the tan and treat sunburn. If you want a little shimmer before going out, you can always apply it too as I have done before, and applying twice never hurts anything. This product dries fast, and at first it is a little less sticky than the shimmer. Both do dry pretty quickly, this one more so, so that you can dress fast and not feel your clothes sticking to you for a long time. I very much recommend this product. This really helps turn sunburns into tans and keeps my skin moisturized. With this product there is no need for moisturizer and aloe. You can apply one cool, refreshing moisturizer with aloe and be done instead of applying two separate things. This is my go to after sun moisturizer in the summer. Though sometimes I do mix it with Maui Babe after sun when I get a little too red and need extra moisturizer. If you have never tried this product before, now is the perfect time to give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.

I worked outside in NY, she had a week at the beach in Maine, but in the end, both me and my girlfriend looked like lobsters. Aloe was good in the short-term, but she asked that I order the Hawaiian Tropic lotion -- and I'm glad we did. Really, the sunburn just healed faster and hurt less. Aloe is messy and sticky, but this has a nice, thick consistency that rubs in well. It smells nice, too. I'm sure it's best to avoid a burn in the first place, but I'm happy knowing that we've got a product that will soothe and heal if we get too much sun. It's worth paying more for this than for cheaper aloe because it just plain works better.

I swear to god, this after sun lotion is the cure for sunburns. It works like nothing else I’ve tried. I don’t know what makes it different than the competition but I’d estimate that it reduces the severity of a sunburn by at least 50% day over day. Bonus: It has a light, pleasant scent, makes your skin soft & absorbs without leaving any gross residue.

Has a nice texture and seems to be moisturizing but I do not care for the scent.

I am a tanning newbie. With that said there are several things that I don't like in a lotion. I don't like crazy smells and I do despise a lotion that you can still feel later. You know what I'm talking about it leaves your hands feeling all slimy. So people love it but the thought of it makes me cringe. With that said this lotion is the opposite of that. It feels really good and is absorbed into the skin very quickly. I am very fair skinned and never tried to tan mostly because all I do is burn. Although I have been taking it slow I haven't burned yet and am starting to see results. Also my skin feels much better with this lotion. Lastly the scent. It's not overbearing but if you do not enjoy coconut this may not be for you. I like it but as a guy I dont exactly want to be leaving a coconut scent trail in my wake. You can only smell this if someone gets very close to you like personal space close so unless you are very sensitive/don't enjoy coconut you should be fine.

This is my favorite after sun skin lotion. Skin feels moisturized and the scent smells great.
