ELEGOO Standard 405nm Rapid Resin

Great product

(Tested in Clear Red) I love this resin, the semi transparency gives your resin prints an amazing finish and luxurious look. Works well on the standard settings (5 bottom layers @ 60s, Normal layers @ 8s, 0.05 layer height) but there is a slight improvement in post-curing transparency if you increase the normal layer exposure time to 12s (which I tested - results in the 5th/last picture - excuse the white flecks that is me not cleaning my rinsing solution enough - sigh). Looking at the bottom layers it would get even clearer if you increase the normal layer exposure time even more - feel free to experiment! A forgiving resin in my experience with it so far and very good for the price. As you can see it prints very well even at small sizes as shown by the smaller bauble. I fully recommend this product from the amazing Elegoo team. (Print sizes are 7cms and 3.5cms diameter for reference).

This has been my first, and to date only, resin purchased. I got this literally years ago, and went to print with it last week with the resin about two years past it's expiry date on the side and it still printed absolutely fine with basically no defects (and any that were there were probably from my shoddy old printer). I'm not going to give print settings because I am nowhere near qualified for that, nor does anything I say have any baseline or reference. It's a resin, and even I've managed to get it to work with minimal effort when it's two years out of date, so it's probably fine.

This resin worked exceptionally well for me, I'd heard some people saying they believe it just to be the same as the standard UV resin Elegoo have been selling for years, weather or not its placebo due to it being a different colour than what I'm used to, I'm not sure. However I believe the detail and quality between this 8K resin and the standard is noticeably different. I printed miniatures with 2second exposure time and the sharpness is exceptional. Print quality was great, translucency really came through and had no issues with this resin at all. Easy to use just shake pour and print.

Poured this into the vat, machine not switched on. 30 minutes later I went to print, (machine still not switched on), and noticed a skin had formed on top of the resin. Emptied the vat, cleaned, then poured more of the white resin into the vat. Same thing happened. Contacted Elegoo. Got a reply pretty quickly asking me to check settings, uv lights etc which were not relevant. Pointed out again what I said above and that there was a problem with the resin. Then - silence! Wrote to them again today but I am not holding my breath for an answer. The green and grey resins I bought at the same time work fine. Frustrating !!!!!! Update. Elegoo have emailed me, today, offering a replacement or a refund. Further update: 1st December. After a few more emails I received the refund. A lot of questions were asked about the LCD screen etc which were not reagent but we got there in the end. Elegoo also sent me a a free red resin replacement which works fine. It seems that the Customer Relations at Elegoo are on the ball so I have revised my review.

Hace unos días comente unas incidencias que había tenido con unas resinas de Elegoo,, vaya por delante que, en ningún momento cuestione la calidad de dichas resinas, es mas, son las que voy a utilizar para mis trabajos; la incidencia era sobre (bajo mi punto de vita) la presentación de diferentes productos con mismos envases y mismas etiquetas que te pueden llevar a confusión. Elegoo se ha puesto en contacto conmigo y me ha expresado su intención de solucionar estos detalles que para ellos tambíen son importantes, y yo les creo, ante una politica de empresa como ha demostrado Elegoo me veo en la obligacion de cambiar mi evaluacion anterior y pasar de 1 estrella a 5, he sido critico con Elegoo porque todo mi equipo de impresion es de su marca, impresora, centro de lavado y curacion, las resinas que he probado, he probado tambien de otras marcas, y lo siento por ellas pero no, me quedo con Elegoo, al equipo de Elegoo les dire que soy un incondicional de su marca, quiero lo mejor y a fecha de hoy ellos me lo proporcionan, espero que cumplan su compromiso de cambios para bien porque de no ser asi, lo denunciare en este medio y se lo reprochare a ellos por informales, aunque estoy convencido que esto ultimo no va a ocurrir y van a cumplir, quero agradecer a Elegoo su atencion con el cliente y perdirles que sus cambios sean para bien porque pueden hacerlo.
