Upstar M29A1 29" Screen LED-Lit Monitor

Great Monitor. The only con that I see is that there is about a 1/4 inch space between the bezel and the viewable area of my monitor on the top and two sides. Strangely, it does not appear on the bottom. I tried to stretch the picture outward but I am at full resolution and the three 1/4 inch black borders still appear. I am using a DVI cable. Outside of that, its a great picture and definately a lot of real estate for the screen.

I was a bit skeptical because I never heard of this company so I took the chance. Man, I was plenty surprised. For a 2560x1080 monitor, this monitor is great.PROS:-No backlight bleed (yay!)-cool stand-doesn't nag me to wash the dishes-No dead pixels.CONS:-the front plate is silver. In the photo, it looks black.-ports in the back barely have room to plug in a cord without bending it weirdly.-Came with a VGA cable. Really? It's 2016. At LEAST throw me a HDMI.If there is any issues with the monitor, I'll let you know within this review.

I was hesitated to buy this since I never heard of the UpStar brand before. After receiving it, I'm absolutely in love with it! I was searching for a monitor for quite a long time, many of the monitors from other brands are too expensive and the quality wasn't that great. The price and the quality for this monitor catch my attention,so I purchased it and I am impressed. Shipping was very fast also.

Great Monitor

Bought this locally on clearance. The monitor is very nice to look at. It did develop a bad line of pixels after a couple months though. However Upstar appears to be out of business now. Website has been down since beginning of the year and the phone numbers listed in the owners manual are disconnected. If it works, it is a nice monitor. But buyer beware if you are buying one of these new.UPDATE. I was able to get the line to go away by jamming a small piece of paper between the panel and the bezel on the line. Seems the pressure exerted on the panel fixed whatever was wrong. Little piece of paper is better then a red line splitting the screen in half.

This is a beautiful display. I do a lot of splitscreen and local co-op games on my computer, and the excellent viewing angles allow everyone to see the screen perfectly well from off-angled spots. When programming and web-browsing, the text is sharp and readable. The only real complaint I have about this display is that it is pretty bright. During the daytime it's really nice, but at night, I set it to its dimmest and wish it went even just a little bit dimmer.TL;DR crystal clear display, good viewing angles, bright screen. I will update if/when the monitor craps the bed, which hopefully doesn't happen.

Like the other person said, little hesitation but it works perfect. Some come with silver bottom and some may be black.Bf4 is quite a bit more fun now and for 279 a great deal. Has PIP if you want to really get it set up. Great for photoshop got rid of 2 displays for 1.Also you can see all your tile in windows with the widescreen.
