Decent Camera set
Purchased the other week and so far I am happy with the experience. Only thing is there’s about 3 seconds delay and despite me selecting ‘humans only’ for detection, it picks up my dogs. The installation is simple, it is WiFi connected so no drilling through the house and the picture is clear. When speaking into the app, it comes across a little distorted through the camera, with delays. I’m not too fussed as the purpose is not to speak through it, but to act as CCTV. The app is simple to navigate, but again, slight delays. You can share across devices, you can even download videos. I have noticed one bar on the battery life has gone down already on one camera, but we are heavily using the garden with the lovely weather, so I keep turning this off whilst at home. I saw another poster mention this too but the battery life stayed like that for another few months without reducing still, so hoping it’s the same. - UPDATE 15/7/25 - having to charge as it was running low - notifications prompted. Overall, decent setup and I would recommend it.

very reliable security camera system worth considering (and latest EDIT)
We have been using this now for about a month. So here is our thoughts on this product. setup: Setup is pretty easy took about 30 minutes. Maybe the odd question was worded a bit weird, even rebooted for a firmware update -- but top marks on this. installing the cameras is super simple, except they dont have an angled or ceiling mount for some reason. Again didnt bother us but you might need to jerryrig a solution there. Cameras: in the pack is 2 cameras. The charge is supposed to last i believe 6 months. that i think is pretty wishful thinking on the part of Eufy. we fully charged the cameras (as requested in the installation) and it has dropped 1 pip on the battery bar in one month. Keep in mind our cameras are in the most heavily trafficked areas (front and back door) so they are pretty much pinging all day. i would guess charge every 3 months ( i will post here on first mandated recharge). only other possible concern might be the distance the camera could be from the base station. if you had a house with a lot of thick walls and long distances you might have an issue with camera connecting, but thats me guessing. Motion Detection: we have set the person setting on, ie only record when a person was moving. Well maybe where we live cats look like people because we have one cat in particular, religiously setting this off at 4am every night. Could i reduce a star for that, well yeah, but does anyone seriously believe all that, i certainly didnt. i am sure it does work, just not in the way i thought. it can pick up faces which is very interesting, that does work surprisingly well. It is also good on identifying motion, that particular cat is on the extreme side of the motion area and it always catches the movement. One other small quirk i noticed, in night vision mode it doesnt sense a motion activated light that goes on and technically should switch off the night vision, not a big issue but perhaps an update will fix small issues like this. Performance (movement to phone alert): this is where i have to say the system is pretty impressive. it takes around 5-6ish seconds to receive a notification. we have a pretty bog standard driveway ( 2 cars almost fit) and from the time i am in the catchment area of the camera to hitting the front step -- i receive a notification. we did try the press to talk function. it works fairly well, voice is a bit tinny sounding but it definitely workable if you were reluctant to open your door and the camera microphone is very good. in this live interaction camera session its about half a second delay for us- definitely usable. They also have geo fencing which is pretty cool when we both leave it activates. Reliability: this was replacing an older onvir based system of ip cameras which was buggy on its best day. the Eufy system has been flawless in this regard, 100% reliable. we even had a extremely rare power cut, the base unit just reconnected to everything automatically. Also because it stores the files locally there is none of the hidden monthly cloud charges involved . also if there was activity you need to record you can pull that to your phone. Overall: have to say, we are super impressed. their app works and looks good also btw, the interface to apple phones is also pretty easy (you can use apple own home setup to take camera feeds). The mark i try to use on products like this is 'would i buy it again?' the answer to this is a resounding yes, hence the 5 stars. Sure its got the odd white lie in the marketing (dont they all?) but i am willing to ignore that for the many many other benefits. So if you were on the fence on this, i would say if you were to jump to this, you are very unlikely to regret it. Jan 4th EDIT 2nd attempt, last edit bombed out and it was worded way way better than this edit ;) So happy New Year all. Firstly the cameras are still on one pip on the battery icon. That is pretty darn impressive to me. I will let them run out or at least red line before charging and if there is any further info i will add here. It is worth noting that the front and rear cameras are both on one pip even though the front would be used more. There is some educated guesses you could make here on how the backend system works but it would be speculation. I suspect the batteries will age in a bit as they cycle through their lifespan but at the moment -- way way better than i expected originally. Motion detection: this is still tripped by the cat (system configured to people recognition). she had changed her schedule a bit so there is that. Notification time: one thing i thought i should add. i mentioned about it took the length of an average driveway before my phone pinged. I had a think about this and my phone is going through a whole series of 'things' as i walk towards the door, not least of which is trying to connect to wifi. Im sure that is delaying the notifications by a small amount. Final Thoughts: you know whats best about this? it just works. its now just part of our house, like a tv or fridge or your mobile device. it just works. i have not had to login to reboot, tweak, update, modify, or worst of all (and we have all done this) had to explain to family members how whats happening is a feature not a bug (onvir wifi cameras im looking at you). This system just works and honestly much and all as i love fidgeting with IT stuff, there is something really refreshing about software and hardware like this that just does what it says on the tin. Could it be better, yes but its the ole 80/20 rule now for Eufy i suspect where they have all of the basics done right now comes all the bells and whistles and trinkets...nice to have but not critical. So we would still buy this again. Very impressed with it resilience (no reboots, no resets etc). Its what we wanted here, something that is 'set and forget'. Pretty sure we all want that or if not all, then the vast majority of people want. of you are a bit of a security camera expert and love doing the latest mods, then this is probably not for you. of you want something that just works; well all we can say is (as per the first review of this), would we rebuy?-- yep we definitely would.

Decent App, Dissapointing Image Quality and Battery
I have owned this system for 3 years and finally got round to reviewing it. This would have been a three star review, but recently there was a burglary on my street - whilst the thieves walked over and considered taking my car…the spotlight kicked in and they decided to back off! Sadly didn’t stop them taking my neighbours car though - which I caught some grainy and blurry glimpses off. The app is great - unlike Ring it’s free to use! You can access the cameras in realtime, speakers are surprisingly good, the microphones capture well so communicating with delivery drivers is good. The cameras have tons of options - motion detection, privacy mode, human vs all motion, activity zones, watermarking and time stamping, recording length and IR mode vs spotlight etc. You can customise them to your liking and whilst the quality isn’t ideal, they capture well enough regardless of the hour. Low light performance leaves a lot to be desired though - I keep spotlight mode on, as I think it’s the best deterrent! Not having to pay a subscription like Ring is very welcomed - good job Eufy! Fitting kits were provided and they were easy to install - another bonus. All cables were provided and setup was pretty painless - I elected to hardwire the base to my router for optimal performance. The cameras are small and quite cute, they aren’t hulking beasts so they don’t really stick out once installed. Overall, they pack a decent punch with their glowing red eye upon detection/recording and you can’t doubt their presence once the spotlight fires up. It’s not a 1000000 lumen led/collapsed sun that turns night into day - but impossible to miss once activated. The app allows you to programme different events and modes - geofencing and time based. I have many setup, recently with my cameras monitoring the backdoors switching to an alarmed mode should a human be detected between 2-6am in this area. Testing caused an alarm activate and a notification + thumbnail of the event sent to my phone, which again is a decent deterrent. ‘Russia is Coming’ activates all alarms on every camera...for when that happens. You can also add cameras pretty painlessly - I added a doorbell from the same brand. I have a few gripes unfortunately… Image quality - clips have the resolution of 1080p, but I wasn’t expecting the actual quality to be poor or the files to be so small. Don’t expect anything near 1080p from a phone. Day light performance is acceptable, but don’t expect to see clearly sharp images. Colours are dull and low light is grainy and blurry. I have had to rely on my cameras a few times recently, catching traffic incidents for neighbours and at around 5m+ distance it’s not been possible to fully resolve things like number plates in the images. Granted it’s at an angle, and these aren’t high performance cameras - it’s a trade off for the size, cost and battery. I have been able to grab partial readings and then use AI or image sharpeners to try and decipher the remainder - but frequently the conversation goes: “What’s that - is it a ‘5’ or an ‘S’? Hang on…It might be an ‘8’ or even an ‘A’!? Jesus, I think it’s an ‘$’ sign!? I need to buy the 4K one..” Proceeds to transfer a 30 second clip (1080p) to my neighbour which is 3mb in size. The sensor is clearly small and the compression is very high. Battery life - 6 months is the claimed, I get 2-3 months before I need to intervene and top up. Mileage will vary depending on how often it’s triggered, how long the recordings are. Despite only cycling relatively few times (15 full charges?), all my devices are around 85% health remaining with a notice saying they are performing ‘below expectations’. I know they are exposed to cold conditions but lithium batteries are expected to cycle hundreds of times before degrading!? So I was surprised to see this. Eufy Home Base - Disappointed the base unit never got the ‘expanded storage’ capability - I think Eufy quietly axed this update which was in the works (said coming soon) in order to push their newer systems! Bit frustrating as my base can only hold 3 weeks before overwriting. A cheap USB stick, SSD or MicroSD card would have been tremendous. I needed to grab evidence for a small claims case and after 2 and a bit weeks, the footage I needed had already been overwritten :( there is a subscription based cloud feature I could have purchased which would have helped…but I bought this system to avoid additional fees and Eufy said it would have expandable storage…RUG PULLED. IMO - This system isn’t worth purchasing in this day and age unless it’s cheaaaap and you aren’t super concerned with image quality. I’m satisfied that it serves me well as a deterrent and has been useful gathering evidence (catching the brand and a partial number plate of the lorry as it clips my neighbours wing mirror off) My recommendation would be to stretch to the 4K and newer base systems if you can. I will be upgrading my most important camera shortly as the 1080p just isn’t good enough and has let me down when needed.

Brilliant Cams
These are brilliant. Very happy with them. I bought these at a great price to replace my Arlo Pro cams which sadly Arlo "bricked" as they were an older "legacy" model so the updates and support stopped. Arlo would not help unless I subscribed so bye bye Arlo and hello Eufy. No subscription required with these, the images are much better than my old Arlos, a doddle to set up and update, the base station records up to 15gb ... no cloud needed and lots of options on the app. I'm so happy I bought these .... highly recommended by me. Fantastic purchase.

Esteticamente a mi me gustan, me parecen discretas y no desentonan.
