My doctor suggested I purchase l-carnitine as well as the acetyl version of carnitine for fatigue and brain fog. The pills at the office were really expensive so I decided to look for alternatives on Amazon. This powder version was a much better price point and I like that there were none of the fillers like silica, rice flour etc, that come with taking the capsules and tablets. I also like the pleasant tart lemon flavor the powder adds to my water. I definitely notice some effect when taking it. I feel more alert, awake. I often mix it BCAAs and Glutamine as my homemade preworkout drink as well. My doctor suggested taking it with d-ribose which gives it a little sweetness. My only complaint is with the packaging. At least with the smaller jars 3 ounce jars. The scoop that comes with it has a tiny handle and the mouth of the jar is small. So every time I want to use this powder I have to dig my fingers in the jar to find and grab the scoop. I always end up with sticky fingers and powder spilled on the counter. It’s so annoying. Also, I notice the powder isn’t as fine, over time, it’s clumpy and sticky. Probably from twirling my fingers in it every morning. I was almost going to switch to taking the pill version because of how messy this is, but I actually enjoy the taste of this powder in my water. I plan to look for a different container I can pour this powder in, and maybe search for the right measuring spoon with a longer handle, or just keep the scoop it comes with separate from the powder. I’ve tried other brands like Jarrow and Now, I don’t notice any difference in quality or effectiveness when comparing to Nutricost. Nor with the $70 bottle of carnitine pills I purchased from my doctors office. That said, save your money, and just get this one.

I saw You Tube videos about his version of L-Carnitine.I had taken L-Carnitine before years ago, but aside from a very slow weight loss benefit, didn't keep taking it over the years.I started working out again and wanted to try and find something that would address my andipose (old fat storage) issues.Well, lo and behold, this stuff works!They were right.It actually goes to your worst fat areas, like my low belly, butt, and the backs of my thighs, and that is where it is coming off first. I kid you not.It does what they say.Be sure to eat a fast acting carb of exactly 1/3 cup of carbs just before working out. This activates the miracle of the TARTRATE in the l-Carnintine...like putting lighter fluid on a fire.I take two little spoons before the workout and 4-6 after.It really gives me energy for the workout and post workout soreness is greatly reduced.Have had zero side effects. No jitters. No sleeplessness. No upset stomach.Be sure to stay hydrated. Drink a whole sipper of something besides carbonated sugary drinks while working out. I blend up my own 1/4 cup of green pumpkin seeds in a blender with 4 cups water. Add a little Stevia or molasses or a Tablespoon of honey. It really helps the workout and is very healthy for you.

I am happy that it arrived early, was a great price, and is so easy to add to your routine. You merely put a tiny scoop in water, it dissolves immediately and is tasteless. I read a lot of the benefits of the substance and look forward to seeing how my body reaps the benefits.
