Love
If you like the the Aurora Tea Garden Mystery series you will like these book. That’s how I feel when I read these books now. This is book 6, and I love Theo, Drayton, Haley, and the rest of the characters. I absolutely love the recipes in the back of the book. When Theo witnesses another murder on her cake she’s stunned to say the least. After she’s back at Indigo Tea Shop discussing what happened. That’s what she does. It becomes her MO so to speak. We all Theo can’t keep her hands out of the investigation. She always butts heads with Detective Tidwell. It’s rather funny when he always warns her, but it’s for her own good. Drayton does the same, but Theo has a mind of her own.See what happens you will love it. I can’t wait for the next book.I love Tea so I love the descriptions of all the teas described in the books.

Tea, Cake, and Murder
This is only one of the Tea Shop mystery series, and while it's not quite a good as some of the others, it's still a pleasant read. The Theodosia Browning and the Indigo Tea Shop are hired to cater the first Poet's Tea for the Heritage Society, but when a huge storm blows into Charleston, Theodosia's event along with her cake is ruined by by a falling body. The dead body is the chairman of the Heritage Society and with the annual Spring Art Auction less than a week away, it's imperative that the murderer be brought to justice. One of Haley's friend is the prime suspect and Theodosia,Haley and Drayton want to clear her name and solve yet another myatery. As usual, Laura Childs beguiles the reader with little bits of tea information and descriptions of yummy offerings at the Indigo Tea Shop. This along with the interactions of the characters, the clues, the suspects, the red herrings, makes this charming cozy a fun read.

Typical Tea Shop Mystery.
If you like the Tea Shop Mysteries, you will like this book. Good characters, plot, Charleston setting, recipes. My issue is with the seller, who marked the description as "Condition: Used - Like New - An unread copy in perfect condition. Pages are clean and are not marred by notes or folds of any kind. Suitable for presenting as a gift." However, when I received the book (which was well packaged), the cover and all of the pages were distorted, very wavy and crinkled, definitely not suitable for a gift, looked like the paperback was soaked then dried out. The book was actually hard to read because of this. Should have returned it but didn't feel like taking the time to do that. Donated it to a senior center.

Great, but would love to have a map included.
Great book as always. Laura Childs' tea shop mystery series is great and the setting in Charleston is superb. It will make you want to visit ther if you haven't already done so. I have, but a simple map of the main part of Charleston used as a setting in the book would be a great addition for those of us who like to have a sense of the physical layout of the story.

wonderful
I have enjoyed all the Tea Shop Mysteries and hope the series continues. Drayton and Haley are always interesting and fun. I like the way she describes the other shops, the customers, and Charleston. It is easy to picture all that is described in this book. I have a few questions reguarding this book. Does Gracie continue in her hat shop? What happens with the art auction? Is the painting Timothy has in his office a fake? This book is still a great mystery and I would reccomend this book to anyone.

Disappointing
I have read the whole series up to this book and this one was the most disappointing one. The emphasis on what a fantastic woman Theodosia is, liked and admired by every reasonable person, got on my nerves. Also the way the relationship with her lover is described is ridiculous - we live in the 21 century and long-distance relationships are by no means unusual.
