Fine office chair
I am reading some of the critical reviews and have to say some are a little unfair.I have had the chair for a day, I paid some $250 for this chair and that was a fair price for what I paid. I am giving five stars because:- it arrived early- the assembly was easy and very well explained, it even included working gloves and the screws were sorted by application so there was no guessing what to use- the chair is comfortable- while this is not a high-end chair, it's a good deal for the price ($250)I don't understand the criticism of the recline mechanism by some; you can recline just as advertised, if you want the chair to stay recline (even if you get up, for example) there is a lever that keeps the reclined back in place. The foot rest is a little flimsy. And finally, I am certainly not being catapulted out of the chair as some have stated.I am a man, 6'1, 250 pounds. I think the chair is a good fit for taller folks, if you are shorter the seating is probably too large and you will have a hard time reaching the back of chair comfortably.

5' 10" 200lb Average guy here and I HATE this chair! It is designed for an Orangutan!
I spent a lot of time researching before I bought this chair, and I am soooo disappointed in it. It is completely disproportional to my body. I a 5' 10" guy with an equally proportioned body. It often hard for me to find clothes because my sizes are always sold out. This mean that my body shape and size is one of the most common sizes. This chair was not designed for a person who is evenly proportioned. It was designed for a person with long legs, a short body, and really long arms. Basically, and ORANGUTAN!1. Seat Base: The seat base is way too long. In order to get back against the seatback, I have to sit so far back that the front of the chair is pressing into my calves so hard it cuts off blood circulation. I would have to have femur leg bones that were at least three to four inches longer to sit comfortably in this chair. The seat cushion is also very firm. My butt starts hurting almost immediately when sitting in this chair.2. Lumbar Support: The Lumbar support to at least four inches too high and hits be smack dab in the middle of the back. It also feels sharp, as if if you were pushing back against a metal pipe. I would have to be a least 4 inches taller in order for this lumbar system to be in the right place, but even then it would not be that good.3. Armrests: The armrests are too low. I have to slouch down in the chair to rest my arms in the armrests. If I were any taller, there would be no way to get low enough to get my elbows down to the armrests. Unless of course, I had arms that were disproportionally long to my body size, like and Orangutan.4. Seat Controls: The seat controls are ridiculous too far down. My arms would have to be 10 to 12 inches longer to reach them from an upright sitting position. I have to lean way over to the right and reach way down to get to them. Basically the same problem as with the armrests. I would have to have arms that were disproportionally long to the size of my body to use these controls comfortably.5. Footrest: The footrest on this thing is a flimsy piece of garbage. It can only be used when in the fully reclined position as it cannot support any weight at all. I tried to use it as a footrest when sitting upright because I was losing blood circulation to my feet (see #1), and it bent way down just from the weight of my feet and I thought it was going to break off.6. Recliner: The chair does recline to almost a fully horizontal position, but when in this position, it creates a huge hole between the seatback and the base. This leaves your whole lower back hanging in mid-air with no support at all. It also moves the lumbar support higher up your back and it feels like you are laying in a knife blade. Now you might be thinking that if I were a much taller person, say 6' 2" for example, this chair would fit my better, and that may make some difference, but it would make other things worst. Take the armrests and controls. If my torso was taller, that would make them even more out of reach, because it would move my shoulders up farther away from them. Unless I was taller and had unusually long arms for my body size. The chair is the right size for my height when in the reclined position. If I were any taller, my mead head would be hanging off in the air.BOTTOM LINE: I don't know who design this chair, but they did not use a person with a normal equally proportioned body as their guide. Nothing on this chair is proportioned right. It seems to be built well and is fairly easy to assemble, but it just is completely for me in almost every respect. And it is not comfortable. It is like sitting on a brick with a quarter-inch thick piece of foam on it. Unfortunately, I was busy and did not even assemble it until after my 30 day return period had expired. So I am selling it on F-book for and finding another.

Heavy duty and comfortable!
I am 320# and am very comfortable in this chair. The instructions recommend having 2 people for assembly, but I put my chair together by myself with no problem. Some (minor) negatives to be aware of:The footrest rails are flimsy and the rest does not extend far enough (more of a calf rest). This is a feature they would have been better off to omit. The recline stiffness adjustment does absolutely nothing. I ended up tilting the back of the seat to a comfortable position and locking it in place.Positives:Thick padding and a heavy duty base provide excellent support.

Very nice chair
So i see there are some variations in reviews. I guess reviewing the comfort of a chair is like asking someone to review a cologne.I sit at my desk at work for many hours and am generally not too picky about chairs. However, my previous chair's seat padding began to compress so much i started to feel the steel frame. Life is too short to get beat up by a chair you sit it for many hours a day. I considered high end top grain leather executive chairs, the real stuff, however did not want to spend a grand for a chair, although it would have been worth it as i sit in it more than my couch at home. Anyway, i saw this on amazon and liked the look. Here are my thoughts. I am about 6 foot 220, used to be much less pre quarantine.- when i bought it the shipping was a month out. Received it in about a week. Looks like it shipped from cali. I live in the seattle area. Delievered at my office in about 5 days. Excellent. May vary depending on where you live- chair appears durable and sturdy.- material is not leather but probably a bonded leather, or leatherette, however it is very nice and looks and feels of high quality. Soft with nice stitching.- like most chairs, comes in a fairly large box. Well packed, screws and parts neatly packed.- directions were fairly straight forward. Little tricky attaching back plate - piece that connects bottom to back. I figured it out though.- screws are a bit tricky to seat all the way. Get them semi tight and then follow directions by laying the chair down then back up. Somehow this allows all the screws to be seated all the way. Especially the armrest. Read directions all the way through before starting assembly.- the arms are packaged folded up, unfold to fit in holes- chair is firm bet very comfortable. Probably break in as time goes by. Lots of seat space.- high back, comes to the top of my shoulders, but when i lean my head back i hit the headrest.- adjuster levels, one is up/down. One is to release the back to allow you to press the seat back to a comfortable position. It lays to pretty much flat. Then you must lock the lever. Chair does not rock back, however there is a bit of play once the chair is locked at the preferred angle which allows you to stretch back in the chair.- the foot rest tucks away discretely, however i prob wont be full on layed out in this chair at work, but i did test it out. Comfy, would work for a nap.Overall, this is a spacious, sturdy, and comfortable chair. Finish is high quality and looks nice.
