I plugged this charger in and it started hissing/crackling and did not charge my computer (not that I'd have kept it plugged in sounding like that). I tried different outlets and had the same problem. Totally useless and a fire hazard at that. Do not buy.

2nd time using this item and it is buzzing. I am uncomfortable.

This is the umpteenth power adapter I have bought, and it didn't even last 6 months. Was a piece of XXXX!

Ordered the first one and it worked fine for a while, then it stopped working sporadically. I communicated with the seller and they sent me a new one. The new one did the exact same thing and now doesn't work at all. My experience with this product has been beyond disappointing.

The power brick actually says Acer on it, to my surprise. There is also an LED indicator that lights green when plugged into AC power. Original charger did not have that. The detachable outlet to brick cord (3 prong plugs) is only about 2 feet long, and the brick to laptop cord is 3 feet long, so 5 foot distance from AC overall. Even one extra foot would be preferred.

I bought this charger as a spare. I ended up returning it because I did not like how hot the charger got. It worried me. The charger that came with the laptop barely gets warm… so it left me unsettled with the heat it was producing.
