Original Brown Sugar Saver and Softener, Terracotta, Pack of 2

I actually am amazed this really worked. I had a rock solid bag of brown sugar. I had to chip it up with a knife to get it into the container so I could close it. I put this, wet as the instructions say, on the biggest lump and put away the container. I forgot about it for about a week. I opened the container and it was like new! My brown sugar was absolutely soft. It almost seemed fluffy. It's still in there with the rest of the sugar I didn't use for the treat I was making. It's way dry, of course, but I'm not risking it.

These are so good! I wish they made something like this that did the same thing for regular sugar. Prior to this even in what I believed to be an air tight container, my brown sugar would harden after a few months making it so hard to work with. Since I got this little guy not an issue at all. I even got one for my mom. The brown sugar feels like I just took it out of the bag. Work for light or dark sugar. I even use it to scoop the brown sugar out. Worth every single penny!

I don’t know how these work but they work great! No hard brown sugar again. Also very important to me that these are made in USA from a trusted company.

I cleaning out cabinets when I found a bag of brown sugar that had been forgotten. The contents of the bag had formed a very hard ball about the size of 2 softballs. I managed to fit this ball into a canister, but went looking for a way to salvage the sugar. I decided to try the terracotta Brown Sugar Bears. When I received them, I washed them and soaked them following the instructions that came with them. I dropped a bear in the canister with the ball of brown sugar and didn't think about it again until I decided to make banana bread. The ball appeared unchanged, but crumbled completely when it was touched by a measuring cup. The brown sugar was usable. Great value for the price!

I just put one in my brown sugar after soaking in water for abut 20 minutes per instructions. I haven't had the bears long enough to evaluate how well they work. However the science is sound since it is better than putting a damp paper towel over the sugar and heating in microwave, which works. I'll be anxious to see the results the bears produce in a couple of weeks.
