Make your hash browns better...:-)_
So, the wife uses it to shred some potatoes for hash browns. Works great, but the revelation was when we made the hash browns. I wouldn't have thought that how you grated the hash browns could make a difference. We made two batches, just to see if we were crazy (hey now...). The ones we grated on the cheese grater, were not as crisp when cooked identically. Who'da thunk the Mandoline would make crunchier hash browns. And, the wife did not risk losing significant amounts of skin...Pros: Easy to swap blades, easy to use holder, versatile.Cons: NoneUpdate: Started to have significant issues with the cutting blades cutting into the plastic of the handle. It has now become unusable without getting small white flakes of plastic in whatever I am mandolinizing... We will be looking for a new one that doesn't add plastic to our diet.

It is very sharp and I like the way the blades are stored
Handy little slicer. It is very sharp and I like the way the blades are stored. I was curious how the waffle fry would work with that blade, and it really doesn't, it makes more shreds of potatoes than waffle fries. Rarely you can get a full waffle fry. We did one of those huge potatoes and only got two whole waffle fries, the rest were more matchsticks. I'm not sure if I need to turn the thing in a specific way, I couldn't figure out or what. But a handy slicer, when you are limited with space.

Not working for me
It works with a little bit of practice. I think it's very difficult to get the vegetable holder to actually easily hold the vegetables and almost got my fingers poked a few times. I haven't found a surface where it doesn't slide so that makes it difficult to use. I read other reviews before I purchased this one and thought it would work ok but it's not working for me.

Decent purchase
I like this thing, forget I have it half the time. Purchased it to make eggplant lasagna, but it doesn't do the best with an eggplant. It cuts potatoes like no other. Very sharp though, watch your fingers. The finger stopper helps. Tip, remove all the optional blades before using so you don't have to clean EVERYTHING

I've used it a couple of times and using the flat blade will give you thin slices which are perfect for chips
This Mandoline is ok. I've used it a couple of times and using the flat blade will give you thin slices which are perfect for chips. If you intend on using this to cut tomato slices thick enough for burgers, this mandoline won't do it and you'll need to slice it yourself. Like other more expensive mandolines, this does not have an adjustment so you can vary the thickness of your slices.

Good product!
A great mandoline, except the box has absolutely nothing written in English, and no paperwork for guiding. I like the way the other blades are packed on the slicer, but you still need to remove all of the slicers to wash the mandoline, because they will collects bits and pieces.

Works fine, for a cheap mandoline
Works fine, but is not very sturdy. I wish you could change the thickness of the slices. I tried to make baked waffle fries and they were just cut WAYY too thin.

It's Ok, there are better.
It's just okay. Pretty cheap feeling. No weight to it.The straight slicing blade is pretty terrible. Wont' even do a single long carrot unless you work at it forever. The other attachments are OK.
