I'd been meaning to buy a rotary cheese grater for ages, but had been put off - or at least, dissuaded - by the bad reviews for many on here. Anyway, this one is brilliant, really powers through the Parmesan cheese, and is sturdy and well made. Easily dismantled for cleaning afterwards. I completely recommend this particular model!

You would think being metal it would be easier to clean, throw in the dish washer, great quality.The metal is flimsy and bends, and the fit of the base to push in your cheese, or whatever you are grating fits too snug so it is more difficult than it needs to be, and then to top it off, the grating rotator is smaller than the hole for the housing, so as soon as you get near the end of the grating, you just have one huge piece fall out.Utter rubbish. Straight in the bin after only a handful of uses.

Really great for grating cheese quickly and is satisfying to use. From time to time a slither of cheese will kind of pass through not grated but you can just add it back in and it’ll grate.

I have had one of these graters for years, and bought this one for my son and daugher-in-law as a gift. They are delighted with it. They have used it on numerous occasions, and have renewed enthusiasm for trying to emulate Mum's cheese sauce!!

I have had a couple of the old plastic Mouli Graters but they eventually broke. This one is very similar in design but metal and much sturdier. It handles really hard parmesan and similar cheeses very well although as with the Mouli the small working compartment and relative difficulty of cleaning means that for bulk grating of softer cheeses a box grater is probably more convenient. But excellent for these difficult jobs!

Unfortunately this grater ( and I’ve owned many over the years ) is expensive, has only one cheese barrel and most worrying has sharp , metal which catches and grates my knuckles during use and is very difficult to open without further abrasion / damage to the fingers. I can’t believe that it has not been more safely modified. I have spent a long time looking for a metal grater since. This one I’m afraid is a liability 😔.

The device is great, just too small. You have to keep filling it up with lumps of cheese to grate, whereas you should be able to put in the amount of cheese you need and just grate it
