Not real durrable, but comfortable. My 4th pair.
This is my 4th pair of these. When new, they are nice enough to wear out with good clothes, but I wear them for work. I only work in them about 3 months per year and they last me 3-4 years. The selling points for me are the light, non-marring sole and relatively easy slip on/slip off. I’ve read reviews that the throat/top of the boot has gotten smaller recently. I see no evidence of that in my most recent purchase. The boot will certainly outlast the sole. The sole is a very soft foam core (that makes them really comfortable) with a harder rubber outter. My dogs are always barkin’ and these boots are very comfortable. They do say “oil resistant,” but it seems they didn’t care much for some time walking around a shipyard covered in hydrolic fluid. When my last pair failed, it was catastrophic. Most of the heal ripped off while I was coming down a ladder. It could have been ugly, but wasn’t. The soles will begin to show cracking when you bend them front to back. If you see cracking, know the end is near and work accordingly. Overall though, these are my “go-to” non-marring slip on work boots

My go to boot for general work.
It’s not the perfect work boot but they are better than some overpriced name brands out there. These are my third pair. Obviously you won’t wear these on a job site without some kind of toe protection. I have a different pair for serious work. These will last me 2 to 3 years doing light duty work. the inside pads wear out pretty quick so I always add better padding. The toe shape tends to change every once in a while. Sometimes it’s more square than round and others tend to be elongated. They look great if you keep them clean. It takes about 2 weeks of daily use to wear in the leather so that it doesn’t rearrange your socks when walking. I like them for what I use them for.

A little more snug on toes, but can be fixed quickly with Alcohol/Water mix. 70/30.
I’ve worn Wolverine pull on boots for years. As they’ve discontinued certain models I’ve had to move up. I’ve been wanting to try the Wedge sole, being everyone is going back to them like it was 30 years ago. I work mainly in the dirt, mud, snow. Working around Cranes from MN to TX. The more aggressive heeled soles are great in the mud, but walking on steel isn’t as safe being a heel will snag & can trip you. Mainly why I’ve been wanting to try a Wedge sole. I wear a Medium 11, these boots came in fairly snug at the toe. Immediately I mixed up Rubbing Alcohol & water, 70/30 heavy on the alcohol. I used a rag & rubber the toes down good for a minute. The alcohol opens the pores of the leather, you can literally feel the boot start to loosen. Then wore them for about 2hrs in the shop. First day on the job they did great. I was in half dirt & mud. The NE mud stuck to them like a wet feather, but was easy to wipe sole clean. Not quite as spongy on the sole as I expected, but wore really well. I bought these off Amazon as I new my size. Not sure what a wider toe would fit like, but after 2 days, I didn’t notice the snug toe. The leather is thick, but flexes well after it’s started to work in. I bought the non steel toe, as I hate freezing feet in winter, I’ve always worn the composite toe in other models. Some reason they don’t make a composite toe in this model. So yes I have enjoyed them this summer.

Good quality materials , working on stretching out the width .
Work boot . Very nice length fit . Need a wider width . Very hard to get boots in a wide enough width . Using a boot stretcher now to widen width .

Leather irregularity in construction
One boot was digging into the side of the ankle bone while the other one was comfortable. You could see that the boot was flawed before even trying it on.

I needed to add a second good arch support insole to get them to fit reasonably good. As with other reviews, one boot seemed to be just a little tighter than the other. They did take a couple of days to get my feet used to them. The heal seems loose as well. I am used to lace up boots and cowboy boots that fit snugger. Once I added the additional insole they seemed to do the job. I like the quiet sole on the hard wood floors. The sole pattern does not track in the gravel and small stones that lug soles do. If they were any tighter fitting, then I would have trouble getting them on. Over all they seem to be a good boot for what I need. Mink Oil darkened them and the water just drops off them. Insulated boots needed in the snow.
