Perfect! Works well on a Wrangler
Very strong and sturdy yet lightweight! I'd highly recommend this. One of the best parts was that the sides of this are low enough to clear the swing out tailgate on my Wranger Unlimited Willy's (with bigger spare tire). It allowed me to swing out the tailgate without making contact with this cargo carrier when there's nothing on the carrier. That was critical to me compared to other carriers because I wanted to attach it and still load or unload the Wrangler trunk without having to remove it.As someone else commented, you will need a 2" hitch stabilizer/tightener. When this carrier is in the hitch there is still some give left-right-up-down so you are going to NEED a $10-$15 stabilizer. But I expected that and had one ready and it worked great. Just make sure to keep a wrench handy in your glovebox for a trip when you want to remove it. I went with the Vehiclex Hitch Stabilizer I found on Amazon for $15 with the red coating. This carrier was super helpful and durable! I also bought the BougeRV Hitch Cargo Carrier Bag (48"L x 20"W x 22"H) which fit perfectly and comes with it's own tie downs. Although just to be extra cautious I used 3 additional ratchet straps and that thing wasn't going anywhere after I tied it all down and that bag was very waterproof.Note that when I received the carrier I had to assemble it. I wasn't sure to expect that but it was VERY easy to assemble and I had that done in under 30min taking my time.

Light and sturdy
I've had this over a year now and have no complaints. It's light weight but sturdy. A little wobble, but I'm usually too lazy to put a hitch rattle clamp on. It fits 2 stacked bales of alfalfa perfectly.

Assembly a little weird
Good carrier, very sturdy, assembly is straight forward, except how many people have metric hex wrenches? Also, why are some of the nuts/screws standard and others metric? Some of the pre-drilled holes did not line up well, so I did have difficulty getting one of the screws in. Otherwise, came together fine and will do the job for a good price. Got it on prime day and got a few more points on my Prime Visa!

Sturdy? Not really. Good for light loads? Yes. Easy to use? Very easy.
This hitch rack was very easy to assemble and install. It is very light weight and well fitted. But I would not put anywhere near 500 pounds in it, as stated in the description. It will not rust, but it is not nearly as sturdy as a heavier steel and more expensive rack. We used it for carrying about 150 pounds of luggage and it worked very well. It will be used on an irregular basis for light loads. If you plan to use yours often and with heavier loads, then you may want to spend more for a sturdier rack, or at least manage your expectations with this one.August 27, 2020 - Just returned from a 5000+ mile trip with this rack. For the price, I conclude that it is exceptional value. It hauled our bags, flawlessly.

Significant improvements required but worth the money.
Needs to be reviewed by Mfg. as improves are needed. I purchased this to use behind our RV to install a utility box on top of for items we do not want to place inside our motorhome compartments like grills and other items that tend to get dirty while out on the road.As an Engineer for the past 50 years, the supplied instructions were easy to understand, and assembly was simple. As for the aluminum extrusions, everything is good and everything lines up nicely. There are only 3 downfalls in the design.1. The bolts and nuts provided, although marked as harden, tend to be of poor grade regardless of their markings on the head. In attempting to tighten, the hex sockets were easy to strip and the 2 main cross bolts that secure the assembled basket to the 2" x 2" hitch tube are of even poorer grade. The lock nuts were of soft steel and had limits as to tightening. To resolve this, I visited my local marine supply store and replaced all nuts and bolts with harden SS8/8 and SS10/10 harden socket head bolts and nuts. I spent a total, $20.00 and it was worth the investment to help this kit.2. The plastic corners are definitely a No No! Although the load on these 4 plastic corners is minimal, it is only a matter of time before the sun deteriorates the plastic, which will cause them to fail. I recommend adding an aluminum corner brace plate screwed in from under neath to reinforce the corners and relieve the corners from any load.3. The inside diameter of the U channel opening on the two cross member braces are too wide and the 2" x 2" hitch tube tends to dance around loose as there in no way to tighten the 2 cross bolts to secure the basket assembly on to the hitch tube. You will need to add a washer on both sides of the hitch tube between the tube and the U opening of the cross member to take up the slack and/or drill and tap the hitch bar from the top to secure the cross member to the hitch tube to stop the loose fit.Apart from the above, for the money, it's a good investment as a starting platform for an easy-to-handle lightweight cargo carrier. As for the load capacity rating of 500 lbs, to play safe, I will keep it under 200 lbs.
