I have a Weber 22 kettle that I saved from the curb on trash day, over 15 years ago. It was already old when I found it. I use it for Thanksgiving Turkeys and sometimes steaks, burgers or a roast, but it sits outside neglected year after year. I decided to freshen it up recently so I cleaned it, painted it, and decided to finally replace the ash cleaning star fish thingy. I don't know that its ever worked for me. It was rusted out completely and seized. What I did to remove it, and I recommend, is I took my RotoZip tool with a metal cutter wheel on it and I cut a big X into it right in the middle, and then chiseled it a bit until it fell apart and out of the hole. Then I ordered this replacement piece. It's not as stout as the stock piece I don't think but it installed easy and it looks and works fantastic. It will be really great to have one that works. If it holds up for even 5 years at this price I'll be perfectly happy with it. I think it probably will.

This kit is an ideal replacement for the ash pan vents of a classic 22" Weber kettle grill. I appreciate the thoughtful design making this essentially a toolless installation however tools are required to get the old vents off. I used a hacksaw to cut everything off below the washer under the kettle. Weber must use a tough metal because it was a pain to saw through. Perhaps a grinder next time. Once I sawed through, a firm pop with a hammer and the old parts fell out. Installation was easy. The hardest part is putting enough pressure on the core to reed the actuator rod into place. Once done, a half twist locks it into place. The arms fit perfectly to the bottom of the grill. I would buy this again to keep my grill in service in a heartbeat. Great product!

We’ve had Weber grilles for over fifty years and my parents decades before that. You use em and parts wear out. Thankfully this One Touch replacement works like the original. Actually, it’s made our grille feel like it’s new again. Simple to install and works like a charm. No issues and this replacement assembly is quality built and feels durable.

Product, once installed, fit well in the 22" Weber Kettle and was overall a good replacement for the original equipment. However, I did have issues: - I had to replace the first set of replacement t parts. This first carton contained three replacement blades. These were supposed to be numbered as #1, #2, and #3. I received two #1 and one #2 blade meaning this replacement kit is useless because the 3 blades would not align properly in the kettle. I sent an e-mail to the shipper, Yilador, explaining the issue. I received a quick reply telling me to keep the package I received and they would issue a full refund, which they did. The customer service was very good and the seller was apologetic and concerned about the problem. I quickly received the refund and re-ordered the same item from them. - The new package was correct and I received the 3 separately numbered blades. However, as part of the assembly to install the blades the blades are supposed to be assembled on the item in picture #1. As shown in the picture this item has a flaw from where it was punched out during manufacturing. This flaw left metal tabs that blocked the proper assembly of the blades and a round flange onto this item. Fortunately, in place of grinding the tabs off of this piece, I was able to use the same piece from the first package to complete assembly and attachment to the kettle grill. If I had not been able to make swap I would have returned this second package. Overall this is a good replacement part but may come with similar problems like I had.

Works like a charm! Install was super easy. My old ones were rusted out on the bottom, so I had to use an angle grinder to get them off, completely seized. Before installing this product, I made sure to clean all the crud out of the bottom of the grill so they were starting on fresh grill steel. Package didn't come with instructions but the blades are numbered. Piece with 90 degree metal nubs goes down through the top of all three and then the flat circle goes in first at the bottom. You have to press the middle of the blades down, put the flat piece in at the bottom and slide the handle through the holes. The system is held together with pressure. Process is mus easier to do with 2 people or with a rock or brick to push down the blades.

Very slick install design and perfect fit on my 1986 Weber kettle. Should last another 40 years!
