Carhartt Men's Rain Defender Loose Fit Heavyweight Sweatshirt

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. This is probably his favorite sweater now. He said the material is so nice. It’s very comfortable. And durable.

True to size well made. The material is durable while still being warm and cozy. Definitely heavier than the medium weight. But still just as comfortable to wear. Everything you expect when you purchase a Carhartt. I own several of their hoodies. Love my Carhartt hoodies ☺️

No.Did I buy it because it pairs perfectly with my overpriced thrifted jeans and ethically sourced oat milk latte? Absolutely.From the moment I put this bad boy on, I felt more blue-collar—even though the closest I’ve been to manual labor is assembling an IKEA shelf (and even then, I needed the instructions). The heavyweight fabric makes me look like I build houses for a living when, in reality, I just build Spotify playlists. The Rain Defender coating? Fantastic. Now I can confidently walk through a drizzle on my way to a vinyl record store without looking like a soggy poser.But let’s be real—the real battle isn’t the rain. It’s defending my right to wear Carhartt without actually doing hard labor. And this sweatshirt? It’s my armor.Final Verdict:If you, too, want to look like you just finished a long shift at the steel mill but are actually just heading to a farmers' market, this is the sweatshirt for you.

Nice and loose for freedom of movement while working. Easily fit a long sleeve under it. Heavier than the midweight but not too heavy. Great for working mid 40's into low 50's I'd say with the mid weight taking over. Wore it in a light mist and the water beaded right off but it's not a raincoat. Carhart bucks the trend of slim fit body hugging pull overs that fit very few people. No idea what manufactures are doing with that. All good, nothing bad in this one.

I bought this for my husband on a whim because I wanted to buy him a couple more things for Christmas. I was a little disappointed that it was a returned item, but being the procrastinator that I am, I still gave it to him because it was almost Christmas when I ordered it. I'm glad I didn't return it because he loves it! (I washed it before he wore it.)It's waterproof and incredibly warm; he usually runs warm anyway, so he just wears this outside instead of a jacket. He's in construction, so he wears it to work often, and it holds up there. He loves that he stays dry when it's raining. A lot of times sweatshirt sleeve lengths are too short for him. This one has slightly longer sleeves, so it's perfect for his body type. The fabric has held up so far (I'm writing this review at the beginning of March). It washes well, no problems there.I was surprised when he told me it was his favorite because I took a chance on ordering this. Highly recommend as this was worth every penny I spent!

Super comfortable and stays nice and soft after washing it. Does repel the water unless its dunked in water. I got black for my job so color was good. Size is true to fit.

I like the material. It’s warm and thick. But I don’t like that it’s loose fit with the long T shirt style. I just wanted a regular hoodie for work not an oversized sweater for a hip hop video. The arms fit but it’s baggy and looks like a dress with how long it is.

This thing is a little big, but definitely the best most comfortable hoody I’ve ever had. Well worth the money.
