Shorter than advertised
These socks are made from a nice, sturdy matieral, however they are definitely not crew-length socks as the product images suggest. They don't come up very far past the ankle. There is also a seam right across the bottom of the foot where your toes start, which you can definitely feel and notice when you wear them. I'm a US women's 8.5-9 (I realise these are advertised as men's socks) and if your feet are bigger than that, these will not fit you.

I tested 3 brands, these won
There's bunch of different sellers on amazon, I decided to buy 3 different ones and compare them. This brand won, hands down. V-Toe Socks was a close second. The ones sold by Samurai market came in last with a wide gap from second. If you just want comfortable every day socks that also have the neat weeb toe thing, just get these ones. They're the highest quality socks that weren't excessively expensive...for socks, anyway. Even if you didn't grow up wanting to be a ninja they're pretty comfy. I'm replacing all of my socks with these ones. These socks are thin, but not so thin that it feels cheap. They may not be very warm but they are very comfortable. The elasticity of the sock is firm without being too tight and leaving weird marks on your calf. There's no sagging, it only really moves if your pant leg pushes it down your ankle or something. Even then it doesn't bunch up or drop even further. This pair has something the other 2 brands didn't - The sock appears to be stitched together from 2 different pieces. The bottom of the toe portion is sewn onto the rest of the sock. It looks like it's a slightly thicker material, which is good for such an oddly shaped area. (pictured) Even here, the seams are only visible if you really bother to look. The seams on the sock are almost invisible on the outside and barely noticeable inside the sock. It comes up about 2 inches over my ankle.

Decent tabi socks
I recently purchased jikatabi sneakers in Japan along with two pairs of socks. Japan sizes tend to run small so I purchased the largest socks they had for my size 12 feet. Because the jikatabi are essentially minimalist shoes they lack any cushioning so I purchased padded tabi socks. As a result, the small sock size and added padded made for a very tight fit on my feet. It took me a while but I finally decided on these tabi socks which were much closer to my foot size. They fit perfectly and I now enjoy wearing my jikatabi. The seam that other reviewers mention runs directly under the toes. Because it is in the crease between the toes and foot I haven't noticed any discomfort. Also as mentioned the socks are not as high as the photos indicate. They only come about 2 inches above the ankle. The jikatabi sneakers I purchased are hi-tops so the socks come about level with the top of my sneakers.

Nice socks, but don't suit my needs
I have flat feet, and wear sandals w/ arch support around the house. Obviously, this means frosty toes in the winter so I got these socks. They fit fine, but because of the sandal's arch, the socks kind of roll from under my foot, tugging on the big toe, and force my foot to slide off the sandal arch, which causes pain while walking. Now i'll need to convince my wife to wear them when she has [normal] sandals on. They will probably look better on her, anyway.

Size 11 is a stretch
My size 11's test the limits of this light weight sock. But it's worth it for the split toe feature

Tabi socks are useful in the winter, if you want to wear zori indoors. (indelicately labeled "flip-flops.")
The tabi socks work a they should, but the seam in front was a little uncomfortably pressing on the little toe of the right foot.

Only 2 things wrong with these socks
thinnes and elastic overload. These socks are very thin. If you want a sock to keep your feet warm, thin is not desirable. There is an extreme amount of elastic in the top of the sock. Way much more than needed to keep the sock up. The result of the unthinking use of too much elastic is grooves in your skin and restriction to circulation. Grooves in your skin may or may not be healthy (I'm guessing that grooves are not healthy), and reducing blood circulation to the feet is counter productive to keeping the feet warm. I'm wearing these socks as I type, and my feet are colder, compared to the cotton socks that I was wearing an hour ago.

Better than expected
I was afraid of getting some tube socks with extra seams. These have a fully fashioned heel, and the toe seams aren’t irritating to me. The tops are nicely finished, too, and not too tight. They fit a women’s size 9 perfectly. Very pleased.
