Great with only one problem (for me)
This USB power cord is a great idea, elegantly designed and when the TV is on works perfectly. As all the 5 star reviews say, it powers the Fire Stick, saves an outlet (the wall plug is pretty big), reduces cord clutter, etc. The problem I discovered using this with my LG TV is that when the TV is off, the power to the USB port shuts off. This means that if the TV is off for an extended period of time, such as over night or when I'm gone for the weekend, the FireStick runs out of standby power and has to be unplugged and reset every time I turn the TV back on to use it. With the wall charger the FireStick is able to remain in sleep mode and fully powered so that when I turn the TV back on it is ready to wake up and show me my wonderful shows and movies and games. I believe it would be possible to use this cord during an extended TV marathon and fully charge up the FireStick so that it had ample power to standby over night. It may be a smarter use of the $14.99 to buy a power strip that spaces each outlet out more and use the included wall plug. UPDATE: The excellent customer service at Mission contacted me (based on my Amazon review alone) and is working to fix the issue I mentioned. Will add more info once I try their solution. UPDATE 2: The Mission Power USB Cables work really well on two of the three TVs in my house. A 24" LG and a 32" Panasonic both power up the FireTV Stick via the Mission USB cable beautifully. The 39" LG (model 39LN5300) just doesn't want to give it the power it needs. I can not say enough about how impressed I am with Mission Power USB's excellent customer service! Thank you, Brian. I am going to buy another FireTV Stick to use this cable in another room. Also, I will be careful when buying a new TV and make sure this cable works in it. I have upped my rating to 5 stars because I think this is a problem with one of my TVs and not a problem with this cable.

Solves Power Warning When Attempting Software Update
As others, bought this for use with my Amazon Fire TV Stick on a 2010 Samsung LED/LCD TV. If I tried connecting with simple cable that came with Stick, I get the power warning when attempting to run Software Update. With this cable, Software Updates run fine with no warning and watching hi-def Netflix encounters no problems. Now one thing I realized, when you use the AC adapter, the Fire TV Stick will receive constant power from wall block and unless you hit a button on the remote it will stay in low power sleep. With this cable attached to your TV's USB port, every time you power the TV on or off you will power the Fire TV Stick on or off. So in morning when I turn on the news, I notice the Stick has also powered on and is warm and then eventually goes to sleep mode. Notice that Stick will also auto-update software when powered on, so every time you turn on TV is an opportunity for it to update itself or its apps. Don't see this as a problem, just an artifact of powering the Stick from the TVs USB port.

Benefit of the doubt.
Unfortunately, the Mission Power USB cable is one of those things that gets taken for granted. In addition, it gets all the blame when something goes wrong. The cable is great and it serves its purpose. It is out of sight and out of mind because it is located behind my TV unbeknownst and unidentifiable to the world until, something goes wrong: There has been a few times that I've turned on my TV and nothing happens. I began by troubleshooting the TV, then moved on to the Amazon Fire Stick, and even rebooted the WIFI connection, but to no avail. I began the hands on phase of troubleshooting by removing the Amazon Fire Stick from its HDMI port, plugging it back in, and still nothing. The natural next step was to remove the power source and so I did. I removed the MP USB power cable from the USB port, plugged it back in and nothing. I was baffled. The only other thing I could thing of was to detach the MP USB cable from the Amazon Fire Stick itself at the micro USB port. I plugged it back in and voila: the Amazon Fire Stick came back online. This problem has occured a couple more times and I went through the entire process to give the MP USB power cable the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, the MP USB power cable is the source of my troubles. Now, granted, it could be the USB ports of the Sony Bravia LCD TV that I purchased way back in 2010. So once again, I will give the Mission Power USB cable the benefit of the doubt. 4 starts is my rating until further notice.

Works great - pleased with how it functions. The only problem was - that the box it was delivered in was NOT sealed, torn at 3 edges, and no instruction pamphlet inside the box (didn’t require because it was easy to install). When I contacted the company - they did tell me that it was new.

Mission Power USB Cable for Powering Fire TV Stick [NOT Compatible FIRE TV Stick] You think that is a little bit of a deception ? And yet you still show it also powering a fire stick. Avoid this rip off item and Seller.
