Pricy by sturdy
These are a bit pricy, but they seem very sturdy and like they will withstand the elements for a long time.

Looks great
Looks great in my garden. Holds a lot of hose! It was dented on one side but that might have been part of the distressed finish. I followed the instructions in other reviews and sprayed a clear top coat on it for durability.

Very Easy To End Rust Corrosion Potential
Go to any hardware store and get a can of 11 oz. clear lacquer spray. Cost is about $6 ($8, including shipping, if you order on Amazon) and you will only use about one-third of the can by the time you're done. Place normally somewhere in your yard, away from plants, animals, etc. Spray on a couple coats in warm weather. Make sure to spray the inside and outside of the copper holder on each pass. I take a deep breath, then spray as much as I can, move 10 to 20 feet away and exhale; then inhale fresh air again before resuming. Same procedure until you've made one complete coat, inside and out, which should be in about 1 minute. Fumes from these lacquer sprays are not something you should breath in, and the instructions say to also wash your hands with soap when you're done. Although the spray says "instant drying," let each coat dry about 20 minutes. After these 3 coats, flip the holder over to expose the bottom, facing up. Same procedure, spray the bottom and also the outside, again, since it's exposed anyway. Three coats and you're done. There's no rust problems - probably not in our lifetimes anyway. And it makes the hose holder even more attractive, bringing out the leaf pattern. You can always repeat after about 5 years or so, just to be sure.

Nice hose storage!
This hose pot arrived in a flash -- thanks Amazon! I LOVE this pot -- so pretty and such a generous size! I've read that others had deterioration problems with it fairly quickly, some were even clear-coating it. I didn't do that and I'm hoping I'm not disappointed after just one season of it gracing my front porch garden area! So far, and we live in the rainy, damp Seattle area -- so good!Nice and lightweight.Interesting embossed design.Drainage hole.Plenty of room for a standard 75 foot hose.Attractive to leave out in plain sight!UPDATE: We've now had one and a half winter seasons of "beatings" to this pot -- it is still perfect. Granted, it's been pretty mild the past 2 seasons here in the Seattle area but it HAS snowed and we always have lots of rain... no standing water inside the pot (that drainage hole is really doing its job), hose protected well, interior and exterior of the pot seem in fine shape. We have a little more "patina" than originally present but it's attractive, not a problem! Still recommending the pot highly! :)

Affordable, utilitarian AND beautiful!!!
Having read some of the reviews by other customers, I wasn't expecting much. The item was priced well below similar ones, and some customers had complained about the quality. However, upon receiving mine and inspecting every inch of the hose pot checking for defects, I FOUND NONE! All I did before placing it in the garden was to spray it with a light clear coat. It brought the shine out (though the pot was perfectly beautiful without it as well) and will protect it from the elements. While the specs claimed it would hold 100' of hose, I found it could actually hold nearly twice as much. I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to getting at least two more.

Very Functional and Decorative, But a Bit Light
This is a very pretty hose holder and I really like it in comparison to others I've tried, like the mounted hangers or the type that winds up and never works right. None are as attractive as this one is. The downside is that it's very light and tips over easily. I am going to try putting something heavier in the bottom to see if that will work. My hoses are very light, so perhaps heavier hoses don't pose the same problem.

Very nice but had large scrapes
This hose pot is very nice. I would have kept it but it had a large scrape on the lower side - finish completely scraped off - and a smaller scrape. I had planned on putting lacquer on it has recommended but if I'm going to pay full price for something - it should not have defects. I would have purchased it through the warehouse deals though. I would recommend.
