Photoshop Elements 2020 Book for Digital Photographers, The [Kelby, Scott] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Photoshop Elements 2020 Book for Digital Photographers, The Review: Great resource even for this long time PS Elements user! - Disclosure: I've only read portions of this book so far. I received this book, and was drawn to the chapter about processing photos using Camera Raw. Although I've been shooting raw files for a long time and using Camera Raw as part of my work flow, I learned a lot of tips and information by reading this chapter, and have been following his suggestions and suggested workflow and am having good results. My next reading will be about sharpening photos. Scott Kelby writes in a very informal and easy to read style which makes it a more enjoyable than books that are written in a "textbook" style that can be very informative, but let's face it, a bit of a bore. I find this book to be a good one for helping me to use PS Elements at a higher level than I have been. And, I also present workshops to my photography club which has quite few members that use PS Elements. In my opinion, if you learn how to process photos using PS Elements which may be arguably the best program for novices, the information learned will be applicable if one decides to use Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop or comparable programs. Bottom line: If you are new to PS Elements or want to get more advanced in your use of the program, I don't think you can go wrong by adding this book to your library. Yes, a lot of the information can be found online, but it's always nice to have one resource that you can use at any time. Review: Exactly what I was looking for! - This book was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a detailed look at how to process raw files and this book turned out to be it. Slightly technical, but not so much that an average person with at least a moderate amount of photo file processing experience, can follow with understanding. I was moving from shooting jpg photos into shooting raw files and this turned out to be just the resource I was wanting. Scott Kelbys books, of which I have several, are always user friendly and very practical. It's got my recommendation fully.

Step by Step instruction
I like his writing and thoroughness. It's a step by step instruction on how to do things with Elements.

Photoshop 2020 Tutorials
This is the best book I've every had for learning the ins and outs of using Photoshop! The tutorials are well documented and take you through nearly all of the commonly-used features of Photoshop. If you're new to Photoshop (or even relatively new) you need to get this book. Photoshop 2020 has some amazing capabilities. And this book shows you how to use them, in an easy-to-learn fashion. Buy it! Now!!

AS advertised and very informative!
GREAT book and having used PSE for years I updated from PSE 12 to PSE 20 I wanted to learn about the new features and this book is doing that. LOTS OF INFORMATION. IT is by Scott Kelby who is a great teacher and well known to be one of the best.

Poor image quality
This book by Scott Kelvy is very well crafted from a content point of view, advises wisely, and as always, in all his works, he is very pleasant and entertaining. It seems like a friend is talking to you. But this time the quality of the images is lousy. Impossible to read the contents with the naked eye and worse by zooming in on them, a strange matter in a person who is supposed to be an expert in these matters. Probably it's an editor's' blunder, or Scott didn't check the matter.

Kelby Books Always Helpful
Great help with details in each chapter. I wish Scott would write a new book for PSE2021 as well! Thanks Scott.

A Very Good Book but Scott's Sense of Humor Wears on this Reader
This book is very-well written. I have learned and applied a lot to PSE 2020. I recommend this book but wish Scott would reduce he attempts at humor as they wear on this reader.

I bought Photoshop Elements 2020 for use on my laptop and needed a comprehensive instruction manual. This book was just out and I looked for a review. There was only one review and it was very negative, because the book concentrated so much on RAW images. However, since I now use RAW images, the negative comment was very positive for me and made me want to read the book. I bought the book and was impressed. Instructional books have to tread the line between theory and practice. Too much theory can leave the reader wondering, "Yes, but how do I do it?". Two much practice and the reader finds that they can't adapt it to their own use. This book takes a practical approach but explains why he does things and how you can vary your approach to fit your circumstances. The book is written in Kelby's own style and it's easy to read. It covers the topic comprehensively and in good depth. It seem incomparably superior to many of the photography books I've ever read. It would make great sense for Adobe to package this Kelby book with their product; it would increase both the sales of Photoshop Elements and Kelby's book.
