AUVON Blood Glucose Monitor Kit with 150 Glucometer Strips and 50 30G Lancets, 1 Lancing Devices, DS-W Diabetes Testing Kit, Blood Sugar Monitor Includes Portable Bag, Coding Free

I purchased this blood glucose monitor because I am on a low carb diet and wanted to monitor my blood glucose levels. I chose this device based upon independent internet reviews as well as the low cost of device ($32.99) and replacement test strips (approximately $.16 each). I can't attest to the accuracy of this device but based upon the readings I have been getting, the results seem to be consistent. I ordered the kit with 150 test strips. Unfortunately, this kit only comes with 50 lancets so I had to purchase additional lancets (100 count for $7.59). Device is easy to use with results within 6 seconds and does not require a large amount of blood. Device stores up to 100 readings and provides 7, 14, and 30 day averages in addition to individual readings. I have not stored 100 readings yet so I am not sure what happens after that occurs. Also, I haven't figured out how to clear the memory. I tried to remove battery to reset the device to zero but the memory was still retained after reinserting the battery. Note, battery cover is difficult to remove. Lancet device has multiple depth settings (1-5 with half steps included). Instructions say lancet device should make clicking sound when pulling back the end of the device to load lancet. Mine does not, however, I hear a clicking sound when I insert the lancet and the device works properly when I push the button to activate the lancet to prick my finger. Kit came with a draw string bag to store the device/supplies. When I registered my product through the company website, my warranty was extended from 1 year to 2 years. I have been using the device multiple times per day for about a week and have been satisfied with the product and the results it provides.

This came exactly as described, complete unit without having to purchase anything else. Very easy to use and maintain,very very cost efficient for replacing supplies. All tucks neatly in carry bag supplied in the kit. Would DEFINITELY purchase again. Thank you

This is much easier and simpler to use than my old meter as that one wasted a significant number of test strips with all sorts of errors. While I can't speak to the absolute accuracy the relative readings all seem to correlate with my expectations.The meter display is much easier to read, especially in lower light.I did like the older multi lancet cartridge rather than these single lancets, though these don't sting as much as the older ones.I do find this much easier to use and a much more pleasant experience than my old one, and of course much less expensive. I do find this last point important as I have begun making measurements several times a day to get a better idea of what I am doing to increase or better yet decrease my levels.My only tiny wish is to have it record the readings via bluetooth, which was one of the main features that I was looking for. Though it is not worth the additional cost of other units, even with insurance.In the end the lower cost of the unit and supplies was my primary motivation and I do believe that I have a good value in the auvon.

Have had the one on right for almost 3 years so since the kit only costs $5 more than just getting the strips figured it'd be good to have a 2nd one to test against, and as you can see, new one on the left and old one on right tested right after each other is pretty much exact; I am satisfied. Don't know how it fares against different brand but has a feature to estimate A1C and is close to labwork results.

I had been using one of the higher priced units that I was never comfortable with. Recently it died and my nurse showed me the one she bought and told me it was very accurate. So off to Amazon I went. It arrived the next day. I was due for a physical that week and that meant blood work would be drawn. So as soon as the lab tech completed his work I did a sample. I was amazed when I got the lab work back after a 14 hour fast both read exactly the same. This is the first time after 5 years of testing and blood draws that this occurred. It's easy to use, read and understand. Only negative would be the lance holder. You must push the lance down using the protector tab, then remove it. Last one had a slide mechanism on the exterior of the lance device that was easy to work with especially with my arthritic fingers. Overall this is a five star unit.Update: 9/7/2020Meant to do this sooner but I found my lance holder had a piece of plastic inside it that obstructed the pull tab which was causing it to be very hard to set. After it was removed it works perfect now even with my arthritic fingers. Also have been able to reconfirm its accuracy via another blood test again it was on the money.
