This is a five star SOFT CASE for protecting your rods. SOFT CASE - is the operative term here. The guy that gave it one star because he used it to protect his fishing rod from airline transport is... Well, let's just say - a little short on common sense.

This fishing rod tube is actually a soft zip-up case that holds your fishing rod safely and easily, making it easy to carry. You break your rod down and lay it out so the reel actually stays out of the case while two zippers help close it up, securing the rod. I used this several times already and it makes a huge difference in not just transporting your gear, but in moving from spot to spot. The only minor issue I had with mine was about 1 inch of the zipper track on one end came 'off track' but once I zip past that little spot the zipper pulls the teeth together fine and zips up, it's just one small spot at one of the ends that has zipper teeth that don't close so I mentioned it to customer service and they immediate replied and said they would be sending me a replacement---excellent service! I plan on buying one for my friend and one for my daughter. Whether you're a beginner or avid fisherman, this should be a piece of your gear!

I needed a soft carry bag for my fishing poles and decided to give this one a try. I found it to be just what I wanted. I can fit three 6-ft poles in it (broken down of course) easily. It will not hold reels, and if you want to put a rod in with the reel attached, I recommend only one rod and reel per case (note: the reel will not fit inside and you still have to break the rod down). I have a reel case for all my reels anyway so this is great for simple transport. The case is soft, so I would NOT use it on an airliner or anywhere it can have things dumped on it. It is perfect for vacation transport of rods in the car or RV.

So far I'm loving it feels strong and durable and has a heavy duty zipper. I added a carabiner to the shock cord on the zipper and wrap the cord around the reel to help keep them together.Will keep you posted on how it stands up after a coupe of fishing trips.

Revision to earlier post. I originally rated the rod case with three stars. This was mainly due to over all size being much smaller than I expected. After correspondence with the seller we're working on trying to find a product a little bigger. This case will hold one two piece rod where I had expectations of it holding a littler more. Good product if you only need it to hold one rod and good customer service as they promptly responded to my review.

Fits all my 2 piece 7' rods with reels attached. Two piece zipper makes it easy along with a reel cover all is protected from damage. It's a soft case so you can't step on it or run over it or even drop something heavy on top of it and not expect your rod to get damage. For keeping scratches and dirt and everything just not getting tangled up its great. Bought two for two rods that stay under my trucks back seat. Also bought the Entsport Nostalgia rod with extra top piece and all 3 sections fit in with room to spare.

I don't use it for fishing rods, though. I keep my various mobile HAM Radio Antennas in it! I currently have three long antennas stored in it. I use this to keep my antennas together when I don't want to have an antenna up and visible on my vehicle. The case with the antennas fits under the rear seat of my truck (Tacoma). Exactly what I needed for antenna storage!
