I can't get it to connect to my new phone. Is it possible to connect with a new device if i already connected with an old one?

Yes hold it to turn it off. Once it's turned off press it again for a while like if you're Turing it off again....it should blink red and blue and say searching

Once it is initially connected, will your phone auto connect from then on?

No, you need to press the button to power it up/connect it everytime you get in the car.

Does this device go to sleep if left on and not connected to anything

no. After a certain amount of time, which I don't know exactly, the device will turn itself off and must be turned back on when you want to reuse it
