We bought this for a 5 month old - she couldn't crawl, but would roll across a room really quickly. It worked perfectly to limit her movement, and she would happily play inside while we we busy doing things nearby. At that stage, we left the door open because it was easier to watch her through the open gate - and she couldn't roll over the lip at the bottom. Now, at 8 months old, she can crawl and so we have to close the gate, but she will still happily play inside so we can do other things.In comparison to others we looked at, this one appears to fold relatively easily (we often pack it up when not in use), and I like that it has parallel slits and not ones that are narrower at one end - less chance of her getting her arm jammed inside the slit.Recommended.--------------------Update - now we have a 13 month old.Once she could crawl we had to keep the gate closed, but with the gate closed she became upset because she couldn't see us, so it was of limited use.However, we found other great uses for it. We split into two, and used one section (without the gate) to surround the brick edge of our fireplace, protecting her from the sharp edge. We use the other section as a portable, wide, gate - mostly to block her from going through the wide double door entry to our sunroom. We can easily set this up when needed, and move it out of the way when not needed. It works really well.

This play yard fits 2 crib mattresses perfectly snug. I needed a safe environment for my triplet 1 year olds to sleep. We have limited space, and this fits perfectly in the corner of our master bedroom right beside my bed. They are far more comfortable than they were all sharing one crib. I love the colors and how easy it was to put up. It literally came assembled but folded. I pulled it from the box and stretched it out to the shape I needed and locked the panels into place by pressing down on the little yellow locks on top of each joint. That was it. It took 5 minutes to set up completely.

We've had this for more than a week now. So far this thing serves its purpose for our 1 year old daughter. She can play around, move around a lot without us worrying too much. She can walk around the fence without any issue at all. It's very sturdy, it came in one piece so there is virtually no assembly required. The only thing that is required is locking the joint once you've decided your shape configuration. The price point is worth it.

My daughter gets into everything so I decided to purchase this play pen. Let me tell you that this is hands down the best thing I've ever bought. I love the fact that you can take it apart to block certain sections and it's super easy to put away and take with you anywhere.

This playpen is amazing. It is sturdy and made of quality materials. I love the colors, and it is as big as expected. I love that you can easily put it away. You can also create whatever shape you want with it and when finished, lock it in place so it doesn’t fall. Definitely worth the money.

This is very colorful and too cute! Comes out already assembled but a few of the walls fell off, was very easy to put back together. It is a nice size for my 8 month old who gets into EVERYTHING! This helps me a lot and I love it! 5 stars!

I am 73 and needed an enclosure for baby at my house. Works great. The baby has room to move around and I can easily assemble this all by myself.
