I used this product almost daily for my sengelease twist. It does help soothe a dry, itchy scalp; and it's particularly helpful when hair is freshly done. I found that it helped relieve the sense of tightness experienced within the first couple days of new twist or box braids. However, I must say the true benefits of this product cannot be experienced until twist/braids are taken down or out. My natural hair was extremely moisturized and soft when I took my twist out. I experienced very little tangling or shedding. The true goal of protective styles is to take care of your natural hair and this product aides in that goal. I went through two bottles in approx. 6-7 weeks (shared the last bottle with my daughter) and I will place another order asap. I also placed a few drops of peppermint oil in my bottle to give my hair an extra boost of freshness. I workout regularly and find the peppermint to be a great agent to maintain hair in between cleansing.

I’m not one to write reviews, but had to with this one. This is simply a great product.I’m not sure why they call it a sheen since the beauty of this product is in its moisturizing properties. It’s nearly all I use while I have my braids installed. My scalp is not itchy, my hair has a soft sheen, and best of all, my hair stays moisturized. I use this products around 1-2 times a day.I will say, this product looks very watery upon first impression. Don’t let that deter you. Remember, Moisture = Water. You also really don’t see the beauty of this product until after you take your hair down. I didn’t appreciate it until my take down and saw how moisturized my hair was with no breakage. I’ve been using it ever since.My braids are never dry and don’t feel like it has tons of build up either. If you are on the fence about this, please give it a try! I can’t say enough good about this.

I. love. this. stuff.Ok so I have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and I tend to sweat a ton mostly on my head, like my forehead, scalp etc. and having protective styles in + sweat is not a good mix. I’ve tried so many other “braid sprays” and they don’t do anything except wet my hair. this stuff smells so damn good and it completely gets rid of ANY odor no matter how strong. it makes my hair super soft. I bought this expecting it to be like all the other sprays but I was wrong so I highly reccomend.

This is life. I did braids for the first time and had the scalp itching of my life. I got this and it stopped all itching (I added a few drops of tea tree oil to it as well) and it moisturizes my hair, scalp and the braids really well. It smells great. It also it a bit sticky (the mist leaves residue on my counter top) but I think it helps keep my braids neat and doesn't let it frizz easily. I need another bottle.

Got braids in a month ago and have been going through so many different products to stop the itching and buildup but nothing sufficed. Received this bottle and washed my braids and sprayed it on immediately after and I have to say this stuff is awesome! Stops the irritation and leaves my scalp very moisturized without the nasty buildup that other moisturizers leave. Don’t know why I have never used anything but this stuff!

Great smell and keeps scalp moisturized. Adds shine and keeps frizz at bay a little. I used on my daughter type 3 hair and it has definitely kept the dandruff to a minimum while in braids. I have been using with my own protective style type 4 hair and keeps the itch away and flakes! I have not had to oil my scalp as much, will definitely purchase again.

Had senegalese twists for 2 months and sprayed everyday twice a day. when i took the twists down my hair was SO soft and the dirt buildup that develops when you have braids and usually is difficult to break down/comb through was also soft. i took down 100+ twists by hand, using no water or conditioner to soften the build up. the spray is great and i will absolutely buy it again.

I found the most perfect braid spray when I found this. I don't even really need to use this product daily and it moisturizes perfect without the nasty, gunky buildup of other braid sprays; and it smells awesome!
