This is the book that made my 9 year old son finally start reading books!
I have 2 sons and my younger one - he is 9 - enjoys books a lot. But only when I or my husband read it to him. THIS BOOK was so exciting and fun to read that he could not wait for us and just decided to read it on his own.He finished it within 3 days and asked me to buy more books from this author. If this is not convincing enough to buy this book then I do not know what else would be ;-)

My Granddaughter zipped through this.
Sent several books I had purchased for her. This was the first to arrive and she loved it. Read it right away. She is 7 and this was recommended for a higher age group. She is frustrated at school because she is in 2nd grade scoring at a 7th grade level in reading and math. Since she loves studying the universe and her Dad likes sci-fi books, I thought this might be a match for her. She sat down a read it as soon as it came and enjoyed it.

Gripping Yarn Tarnished by Bad Editing for Format
I've been reading this to my ten-year-old son, and we're both enjoying it immensely. But whoever copy-edited this book seems to have not the faintest clue about how to format dialogue. There are many, many instances where the dialogue of multiple characters is jammed into a single paragraph. This is a huge, jarring, infuriating no-no that is never remotely okay. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard, and it rips me out of the story every time. Fortunately, my son doesn't see this, so he's not so bothered. It's tragic that a solid book like this, with such an enjoyable storyline, should be destroyed by inexcusably sloppy editing practices. For the record, I'm reading from the Kindle edition, so I have no idea if the print edition suffers similar abominations.I strongly urge the publisher (or Amazon!) to issue a second edition of this book with correctly-formatted dialogue.

Such a fun book!
My 10 year old grandson loved this book. He is a veracious reader so I’m thinking it might have been a little too easy for him. But he left b d it.

He can’t put it down
Let me say that my son (10 yrs old) is an avid reader. It’s not difficult to get him to read but he usually takes longer to finish some books as he gets distracted. He’s been reading this book for the last 3 hours and continued reading it during dinner. Well written and the perfect level of challenge for my 5th grader.

Very enriching & education reading
In additional to having a super great story, I found this book to be very enriching and educational. The text has lots and lots of references to historic events, cultural facts and many other interesting things. I will have to help my 8 year old daughter by explaining about many things this book referred to but this book bar far was the most enriching in a sense that my child learned so much along the way.

Best book ever
Oh such an amazing story with lots of twists. The biggest twist was where Dr.Cooper turned out to be on the bad side.I'd love such books. Going to read Code 7

It's OK.
I liked the idea of the story but there's a lot of dialogue which sounds clumsy when read aloud. My 9 year old said it was just OK. I thought some of it was outside the experiences of a 9 year old, making it hard to empathise or fully appreciate what's going on.

Awful rubbish - show don’t tell
Really poorly written claptrap about some technology hokum. Was far too advanced for my 9 year old but even at the right age (12 I guess) it is not a good read. Commits the cardinal sin of telling (ie how cool this or that gadget is) Instead of showing. Tedious. Did not get beyond chapter 3.
