I admit I bought this unit with some level of skepticism. I have a lot of facial hair. A LOT. My facial hair ranges from fuzz to full on man-beard whiskers with both black and white hairs. The unit is definitely more effective on finer, darker hairs; the coarser hairs are a little more difficult to treat but it appears to also be effective on coarser/lighter hair - it just takes a bit more work on those hairs. My first treatment I focused on a particularly gnarly black hair and, 12 days after treating it, it has not returned. Hairs that slide out easily when tweezed seem to not be returning, or returning much finer. Typically I could shave every day, full upper lip, chin, and neck (I told you...a lot of facial hair). Right now I haven't shaved my upper lip in 4 days and there's only a small area on my chin right at the jaw line that needs attending to. Now, I have diligently used this unit every day, breaking the areas into small sections, and I mean very small sections, not much larger than the diameter of the unit's head. I also find that waiting a few minutes after a particular area has been treated before trying to tweeze coarser hairs is helpful. All in all, the unit seems to be reasonably effective in, if not completely eliminating, at least decreasing my facial hair.

It is slower (takes more treatments) than my previous wire style electrolysis pen, but covers larger areas at a time. It is easier to use and doesn't scar me, and has more electrolysis accessories such as tweezers and patches.

After reading positive reviews and receiving and trying this hair remover tool I sent it back for a refund. I have light hair and it advertised that it removed all hair. I used it twice and not one hair was removed from my face. I had to use tweezers and spend hours trying to remove the hairs from my chin and upper lip and along the sides of my face. I will go back to using cream to do the job and just have to do it more often. I think that maybe some of the reviews were not truthful or these women that used it had much darker hair and it possibly did help somewhat.

The product didn't work, despite using it for many months and carefully following directions. I have read that non-needle home electrolysis systems don't work; I wish I had known that before purchasing this. I suggest you don't purchase this product. There are alternatives that actually work.

It is easy to use and with time I feel sure that the hair on my face will diminish. I learned about electrolysis 40 years ago in Beauty College and feel confident that what worked then still works. You just need to have patience and give it time to work.

The product works, how well is yet to be seen. I've had professional treatment before and the sensation of this product on the skin feels about the same. Electrolysis is an expensive and timely process, that doesn't even include the driving. I expect that this product will also take time to clear an area. I plan to use this product between salon visits. Here is a helpful tip: Do not tweeze the hair and then touch the product to that area, use the product exactly as the instructions say.

I do t use this product near as often as it recommends but I still see a significant reduction in hair growth worth every penny

I've been following the instructions and using this since April. I can't see any reduction in facial hair, unfortunately. I didn't work for me. Waste of money.

tried and tried...but i couldn't even remove one hair from my lower lip area or chinit did nothing but shine a light!
