WOW
At first I was a little hesitate about it after putting it together. It has some weight to it but I thought it would be heavier. Once I put my 55 gallon tank, it was fine, but if you bump into your tank it will shake a bit. There is a small tiny gap in the middle but when it comes to filled tanks, as long as the corners are touched then a slight penny wide gap in the middle will not hurt a tank. It's been up for two years and no problems what so ever. But again be careful in bumping into your tank it will shake easy.

Use with caution
It does hold two 55 gallon tanks, but it is not very sturdy and doesn't completely support the tanks. I don't recommend using it where young children are present. Children should definitely be supervised when near the tank. The upper tank seems very wobbly and there is no diagonal brace on the back of the stand for support. The bottom rack is more stable, but it still doesn't support the tank all the way around. Picture in your mind two strong guys carrying the tank from each end. This is basically how the stand holds the tank...no support in the middle. Whether this is going to be a problem long term, I don't know. Also, the stand could use a pair of brackets to fasten it to the wall behind the tank. I don't have kids or visitors, so it's no danger to me but use with caution.

Solid enough !
This stand snaps together easy. I found a rubber mallet perfect to get the tubes to slot tubes for legs together with top and bottom frames. The metal itself feels like solid metal, not some cheap pot metal. Very easy to assemble. It stands solid, if bumped it will shake a little, however I don't shake on my custom built racks so feel it's within reason, it doesn't just wobble. I have the 55g stand. The bottom I put a 55, the top is a 40g tall, identical length and width of a 55g. Down the road I plan to add a wall anchor to it, I do this with all my racks. I plant to keep it in play, and considering another tank size. For me it does the job.

Pleasantly Surprised
I was soooo nervous about this at first. Now I'm very happy and will definitely be getting another one!I think the price is a bit much for it, especially since there were a few scuff marks on the pieces right out of the box, but you only see them when you're up close to them, and the overall style is actually nicer in person than I had expected.Super easy to put together, I did it all by myself in under 25 minutes, and once we got the tanks on and filled, it was way sturdier than I was expecting it to be! Super happy with it all in all. Fish are happy, and I have more room for my growing collection of tanks.
