Display guidelines are slightly different from original but overall the camera functions well with a high resolution picture. Install requires the tailgate interior panels to come out but overall just a couple hour job. Much cheaper than the Ford dealership part.

The backup view in my 2013 MKX started flaking out on me… sometimes image would be there just right, other times, black screen, “Contact dealer”, or even UPSIDE DOWN. After some research the most likely (not definite) cause was a bad camera unit. Dealership (OEM) - $426, Online retailer (OEM) - $310, Tailgate (“Match” to OEM) - $140. I was not prepared to spend $310 on something that would only “likely” fix the issue. So with tailgate I went.Full disclosure… I did have to trip the plastic hold down bracket as the wire socket on the OEM was straight out the back and this one was on the side. That puzzle solved with some trimming, it fit perfect. Once installed I tested - Perfect. Went to store - Perfect. Today drove to work - Perfect. Also in full disclosure, the night view is grainier that the OEM was but still can tell what you are about to hit or run over.So, I gave this camera 5 stars across the board EXCEPT picture quality. But even that gets a 4. Only time will tell the longevity but it sure is nice having the camera view back!Two weeks post instal… With numerous stops and starts per day, the camera has worked every time! One observation - with all the stop/starts (essentially rebooting system each time, about 1 in 10 times the guidance lines aren’t there. It’s no big deal because all I need in the view… just curious why about 10% of the time they aren’t there. Way worth the money and still very happy.

Although not the exact same part number i was able to successfully replace the OEM unit (part number DT4T-19G490-AB). Everything works as expected with a much clearer picture. The only issue is that the picture is slightly larger thus showing part of the license plate. My expectation is that once I do the Calibration Service function (via ODB2 Port) that should be corrected. However even if calibration does not address the slight change in size I can live with it as is. Overall good value for the money.

I had the usual issue of camera cutting out periodically, sometimes displaying ' contact service's etc. This camera is a good replacement. The labor involved isnt too bad, look on YouTube. The camera has more of a fish-eye view than the original, so I see a little of the plate. The picture quality though is better than oem. The red/yellow/green sections still cut out sometimes, but I'm still happy with the purchase. (Installed about two months ago).

Been a couple months since installled on 2014 Ford Edge. No issues with it yet. Seems reliable. Cost was significantly better than OEM.

It works perfectly!My car is Ford Edge 2014 SEL. The old camera showing upside images, and every time after about 10-30mins drive, the screen is black!!! I can’t see anything. My lovely husband bought this camera for me and replace the old one by himself!!!He watched the videos on YouTube.Before doing that, I Al’s went to Ford to check, they charge me $172 just for checking, and told be the circuit in the camera is bad. They also said if I want to replace it, I need to backorder, with no estimate time due to covid, and totally cost is $815, after a discount, it is still $550. It is terrible, isn’t it???So buy this camera, buy this camera and buy this camera!!!!

Bought this for my 2013 Ford Edge to replace my failing OEM camera. Works great. Only took about 30 minutes to swap out. No camera initialization required. Worked right out of the box.The view is wider and a tiny bit more fish eye than original.

Very good camera

so far, quality is very good and line is there. Just suggest ask technician replace it if you are not handy. arrive a little bit later but not a big problem , and need pay customs duty but reimbursed by retailer after report it. need to see if it's still good after 1 year or so and will update.
